Happiness, defined; things that help you find happiness, keep it, and share it with others.

*** I debated on whether to post this blog because it makes me sound sad and depressed. When in reality, I’m sad and depressed, but I’m writing to try to think things through. It’s 10% rant,76% pity party, and 28% self-discovery. So if you’re not in the mood for a depressing post I urge you to move on to read about your passions.

Little Black Book
Graelin was laying in her bed listening to the water dripping from the leak in her ceiling. She had inherited the house when her parents died in a car accident a couple of years ago. The little green bungalow needed work, but the mortgage was paid so she’d have to find the money somehow to fix the roof before it got too much worse. Her alarm startled her and she groaned as she shut it off as she rolled out of bed. She quickly got ready for work and walked out to her car. That’s when she noticed the flat tire. As she slumped against the old blue sedan, she muttered, “I’m going to be late again”.

I chopped off my identity crisis
I know I'm not the first person to think you can just bleach away the old parts of ourselves we no longer want to see. Our hair is one of the first things people notice about each other, so we use it to introduce ourselves. A clean bob because you're a working woman who doesn't have time to style it everyday, beachy waves with highlights because you are care-free and eternally sun-kissed, or half shaved because F the gender roles society has chained us to. Of course these are just stereotypical generalizations, but you'd be lying if you said you have never met anyone who fits at least one of these descriptions.

The Little Black Book
It was just another ordinary day. Early morning rise, exercise, work, home. Yet, it would be the beginning of a journey like no other before it was over. There was nothing out of the ordinary throughout my day until I returned home and checked my mail. Now you have to see checking my mail was unusual in itself as all my mail goes to my PO Box. Yet, for whatever reason, I checked my mail and found an envelope simply addressed to:

Oh Yes, You are The One
Here I am gonna tell you something about yourself that you are not gonna believe. Even though you will forget it the moment you go back to your normal life but still, there's no downside to it, I am not gonna belittle or demean you anyway so you might as well hear it.

Hidden Talent
Sheryl sat on the park bench doing her favorite activity, people watching. She smiled as two people held a child’s hand and swung her as they walked through the green grass. She watched as the couple laying on a picnic blanket laughed at something the other had said. The jogger who stopped to lean against the tree and take a swig of water from his bottle that had condensation dripping from the outside of it.

THE INTERRUPTED ROUTINE
She was tired. A deep-down tired where everything hurt, and yet she could not tell exactly what hurt and why it hurt. Every morning was the same. Up at 5 a.m., eat, drink her coffee, shower, get dressed, gather her stuff for work, catch the 6:20 a.m. train to go downtown. She would get to work at 7:30 a.m., gather herself and her thoughts, start work at 8 a.m., work until 5 p.m., catch the train home, eat dinner, watch tv, go to bed.

25 – A Look Back in Time. Top Story - February 2021.
Hi. This is me... ... In case you're stumbling across this post and don't know who I am. Today, I am turning 25 years old. The big two-five. That makes me a Pisces; I read something recently that said a Pisces' 25th year of life is one of their lucky years! Who knows if that's true, but what's wrong with a little blind faith?

Positive Life Motivation
Greatness of Your Today No matter how else your day has gone and no matter what your situation, there are tons of great things that happened to you today. Think about it, at some point today, you opened your eyes and you awoke from sleep. Of all the things that could have gone wrong during the night, you were safe and managed to wake up today and begin another day of your life. Yesterday could have ended you. Last night could have ended you. Yet, neither of them did. You’re here on earth and you are alive.
