Happiness, defined; things that help you find happiness, keep it, and share it with others.
Soccer can bring happiness to anyone
I believe soccer is a sport for all ages. Why do I believe this statement? I started at an early age and worked my way to older adulthood. Soccer became a passion of mine from the beginning. I have played soccer for over 12 years and it has lasted me to this present day. That is why I feel that I am very passionate about this sport. Soccer is an easy sport to understand and I enjoyed my first season in the spring. I had some great coaches over the years and I had a great time. You can tell by all the times I have smiled in my soccer pictures for the seasons. I would like to share my story about how I began and how I came to love the game of soccer.

Brainpower What makes a person passionate about their goals? In a word: Sacrifice! I was one of the homeless in America; I am exposing that with no intent of evoking pity for myself, because listening to my father, being homeless was another lesson to learn from, another chance to show who you are as a person. I am not sure if his words were meant to inspire me or if he felt that way no matter what happened.

Oxygen
My name is Kaylee and my dream is to be happy. I am a fashion designer, an artist, and an aspiring writer and model. To be more precise, I am a struggling designer. I wish I could say that everything was going well and that my brand had finally taken off, but "struggling" is the key word here. College left me with depression, severe anxiety, health issues from stress, and a lot of student debt; $22,031 to be exact. Yeah I know, funny how the amount of debt I am in is approximately the same amount awarded to the first place winner of this prompt, which is why I feel that this is my chance.

Un-Vicarious Life
If living through a year and a half of restrictions and social distancing, cancelled concerts and closed county fairs, shuttered theme parks and months without seeing friends in person taught me anything, it was that a life worth living is full of new experiences that take place outside of the home. I spent hundreds more hours inside my home with my daughter than I might have otherwise and I now maintain a sourdough starter in my fridge, 2 things I am very thankful for. However, having been unable to go on a proper trip, make new acquaintances, experience once in a lifetime events, and enjoy a well produced stage show in a packed theater for over a year are losses I will never forgive the virus for. I did however gain a greater understanding for how much joy I derive from new experiences, starting a new project, or first getting to know new people (face to face rather than over a zoom call) and a true appreciation for new to me and fully novel experiences

Adventures in Slow Motion:
Adventure cycling is a growing trend in the bike community. It can be scary at first to leave everything behind and head out on an adventure, but it's also liberating. We love to share our stories with others so they, too, can find their own adventure at 12 miles per hour. So please slow down and truly experience the world your traveling through and the people who share it. Really taking your time to explore. One of our favorite things about bicycle touring is getting to every destination fueled by our own power! Carrying everything on the back of your bicycle makes for a great feeling that we hope to inspire everyone else to experience. So come with us on a journey of inspiration, and let us show you how easy it is to find the key to unlocking your own adventures!

Why Creativity Is Important to Me
I'm a creative person, It's my passion, and I love to share that with others. Creativity comes in many forms, and mine comes in unexpected, imaginative, innovative, and expressive ways! So many people these days are so worried about being "normal" or "fitting in" that they don't tap into their own unique abilities, talents, or potential. That's why I aspire to encourage everyone I come across (friends, family members, strangers) to find out what they're good at and then go for it!

Writing Is The Way Our Voice Paints
I have waited a long time for this, but now it feels right. Allow me to introduce myself. HELLO WORLD! I am just a 35 year old, Asian American woman who was adopted and raised in a town with 1200 people, where I was a minority. Oh, and it was in Utah, and we all know what that state is known for...FRY SAUCE! So, there I was, an Asian little girl with a white family; not what you would call a member of the "fry sauce community."

Don't let the sun go down on me
"Don't let the sun go down on me", this song by ATB (sun goes down) inspired me to use the lyric as my title. Andre Tanneberger (ATB) has about ten studio albums. Most of his music is comprised of non-lyrical instrumental sounds. Listening to his music keeps my mind sound and calm. Usually, when I listen to his music, I’m in a depressive, anxious state. My mental health state is not an uncommon aspect of life for people of my age. Mental health awareness has touched most parts of the world, with many people more knowledgeable than before. People have more understanding of mental disorders and the signs, signals, care, and support needed. Surprisingly, there are still places like where I grew up, that are still accustomed to the idea that it's “only an excuse”, “you’re crazy” or “you’re a coward”. Most people downright deny the idea altogether. I believe that mental health should be a normalized topic. If it is always recognized as “taboo”, people who struggle as I do cannot see our future. My statement may seem like a bit of an exaggeration. For me, seeing my future is important. Literally. When I think about how my life is going right now, I weigh all the categories. If I believe I am doing well for myself, I can see my future. I feel like I belong. When I feel like I am not doing so well, most times I pick up a new hobby. I love learning new things. Especially when I can teach myself. This process keeps my mind in “repair” mode. As my mind “repairs” the negativity there, my dopamine levels increase because I’m keeping myself occupied. This is only one aspect of how I maintain sanity when it comes to my mental health. The most productive thing I can do is be creative. This is the largest aspect that helps me keep it all together. Writing, drawing, and painting have been a part of me since I was young. As a child, I loved drawing and painting flowers and animals. Over the years this love turned into something bigger. From silhouettes of people and nature to mythological creatures and outer space. When I write, draw or do anything that involves my inspiration, I always listen to music. Music is a vital part of my life. When I'm constantly listening to music, I have room for my inspiration to completely explode with vibrant detail and vivid color. Just like reading and watching movies and tv, this is largely where I get my inspiration. I have read a lot of books and watched a lot of movies. Another song I love by Hunter Hayes called “dear god” is about Him telling God all his struggles. Hunter also asks God if he makes mistakes because he feels unable to grow or move on from past experiences.

Walking in My Soul Purpose
The Unraveling: Prelude With a Purpose One of my favorite activities to do in school was taking quizzes that reveal your spirit animal. It always had a deeper meaning for me. A reminder of our ability to connect and the similarities between species.

Breaking Free
I am at rock bottom. The only way is up. Failure is not an option. I believe in myself more and more and more with each passing day. Violence and loss and debt have changed me, made me unfckablewith: my resolve can cut diamonds. No one, no thing, no body in this galaxy will stop me. These are not affirmations they are facts. My belief has carried me through to become the idea guy that my original idea knew I would become. All it took was a true subconscious surrender to my belief in myself. Faith in saying yes to who you truly are and taking the small steps that you viscerally believe in to become that which you seek. I am the idea and the idea is greater than I because I was born from the idea. Wow, I love right now because there is no such thing as yesterday or tomorrow Right Now.

Art saved my life
Have you ever felt not accepted or bullied? Perhaps in school, work, or even by someone that you love? This is the story of how I overcame low self-esteem and rejection through the use of art. I grew up in Puerto Rico. I know that most people attend different schools in their lives. However, I was different, I only attended one school my entire life, from kindergarten to high school.
