Happiness, defined; things that help you find happiness, keep it, and share it with others.
My Passion against The World
A passion is defined as two things. It is defined as a strong and barely controllable emotion and an intense desire or enthusiasm for something. The passion that I have found in creating music and using my voice is a passion that I believe I will never lose. Yet society believes that a passion is only good when you are making money and a living off of it. If you're not, they say it is as useless as the garbage you throw away. That statement has hurt me the most of all the negativity I have heard in my lifetime. Yes, I admit that you should also have a job or some way of income to provide for yourself with a hobby, but everyone wants to work a job or a hobby that provides for them.

Oozing Heart
My passion has become life and trying to help other people find their passion. How I'd gone about that has changed over time. First I'd wanted to be a Microbiologist in Grade 6. I was going to cure The Common Cold and help a lot of people. But when my Grandpa passed away in grade 9, I changed that to curing cancer, since not as many people died from the Common Cold. I didn't want anyone to feel as sad as I did. But life had a different journey for me.

Fulfillment in Many Forms
What fulfills me the most are opportunities to make contributions to the world that are uniquely my own. There is no one thing that fulfills me, for I have many passions, all of which benefit both myself and others. There are many reasons why others should support my passions, and each reason is particular to a certain interest of mine.

Thankful-Grateful- and Hands Full
My absolute passion in life is teaching. It comes on naturally some days and is an extreme struggle other days. However this is where I am, and where I am meant to be. Guiding other teachers to see their own strengths and teach them helpful strategies through my writing, making professional development courses, and creating teaching resources would be a business that lights my inspiration as well as serves other teachers to light their own.

Drums of the Soul
Being raised in tradition is different from your regular daily life as an African American. My mother is from the Islands and she was adamant about keeping the same teachings of her home in her household. It was hard enough going to school in dashikis every day when crop tops were the latest fashion trend. But then my mother found a new love, drugs. Life got hard after that, very hard. That's when I was introduced to my passion. Dance.

The Passion within Gardening
Gardening is a truly passionate thing. Learning how to grow, nurture, and survive. Planting just a small seed can change your life. Watching a plant grow through all the stages is an amazing experience. Loving and nurturing something that will return the favor, in time. Feeling the breeze blow through your hair and the sun shining upon your face makes you feel alive. Gardening makes you believe in yourself. Watching a plant grow gives you pride. In the garden you can be your true self and not be judged. Keeping your plant safe is a task at times. But staying on top of it can bring you great rewards. Gardening can provide so many things and help you throughout life. Patience is learned and that takes time. Believing in yourself and what you do, can help you survive. Living off the land is a very important key. Being able to take care of yourself and your family is a trait you will need. Plants don’t judge you or talk back, they depend on you. Gardening can be so peaceful and surreal. Learning how a plant grows and watching the stages is a great experience. Gardening teaches so many things, such as nurturing, compassion, education and so much more. By gardening you learn how to believe in yourself like never before. Making sure a plant has enough water is a very crucial factor. Also making sure you do not drown the plant with to much water is very important. If the soil is moist at the bottom of the plant, it does not need to be watered that day. If the the plants soil is dry to the touch, it needs water. Just remember over watering can kill a plant. You have to find the balance, when watering your plants. Keeping an eye on your plants health will determine the survival of the plant. Keeping the weeds removed from around the plant will keep it alive. Weeds around your plant will take away moisture, nutrients and health from the plant. This may also stunt the growth of your plant or plants. Gardening is a very time consuming task. Love is a great importance in gardening. The more love sand care plants have can depend on the growth of the plants. Caring for any living thing can be hard at times. Good Karma while gardening can make plants flourish. Negative energy can affect the growth and even harm a plant. Always garden with positive energy that allows a plant to prosper. Good vibes and positivity can make plants grow even faster. When gardening put all your problems to the side. Concentrate on your plants needs. A plants roots are very important. If the plants roots come out from the soul, make sure to cover them back up. The sun can burn the roots of the plant and cause them to die. Plants do need sun to help them survive.

Under the sky
Start writing.. The project 'Under the sky' has been a real inspiration to me. I began working on it due to my strong love and admiration for nature as well as my love for writing poetry. The word nature here refers not only physical features and natural resources of the earth, but also human nature. I usually love to spend time observing nature, especially during my spare time,so shortly after brushing up on my writing skills a bit , I got going with a few poems, thus, I came up one day with the idea to do a full collection of poems, which I later called 'Under the sky'. In my opinion, it is a wonderful anthology of essential poems.

My Passion: LIFE
To be perfectly honest I have not been a member long enough to have a wide scoping range of followers. I have added a story here and there but I am sure I have not been using my membership to its full capacity. I guess, in truth, I have lacked inspiration. My passions have been kicked to the curb for a season. I have been struggling with the stigma tied to a mental illness. Bipolar to be exact. I have wrestled with my own demons. I have felt so buried by my own head space, one that screams at me and beats me to a bloody pulp. I am by nature a very passionate person. An extremist might be a fitting word and considering that is the definition of bipolar I suppose it fits well. I have been on that pendulum for the last 11 yrs. swinging from one extreme to another like a monkey at the zoo. Trapped behind the bars of my mind, holding the rope for dear life and swinging back and forth. It has made me quite sick at times(both physically and mentally).

Home...Sweet "Home"
Home...it's a complex yet simple concept, isn't it? I mean, on one hand, home is a physical building you spend most of your time in, store your things, and shower and sleep. It is your safe space, your sanctuary. It's where you share game nights with your family, dinner parties with friends, and intimate moments with your significant other.

Big, Mean, and Fat
Fat. Once upon a time, that word was like getting hit with a bat. The old “sticks and stones” saying never applied. I’d rather be struck by someone than being called fat by them. Being ‘fat’ growing up was simply because of what I ate and how much I ate. I, at least, had something going for me: I was the tallest kid in my class up until high school. Six-foot-three my freshmen year, everyone wanted (and expected) me to play sports. All these coaches said that I’d make a fantastic linebacker and that they could use me on the Viking’s football team.
