happiness
Happiness, defined; things that help you find happiness, keep it, and share it with others.
Always Choose Yourself đź’•.
There comes a time in life when you have to choose yourself and your peace over everything, because if you allow a person to come into your life to disturb your happiness and peace then you complain about it. You sit and wonder why did this happen to you? Why did you allow this to take you out your comfort zone? Most of all you step out of character and completely lost yourself in this one little person that you thought was for you and not against you, one thing I learned that you can’t get mad at anyone but yourself.

Power of Positive Thoughts

Less stress, better overall physical and mental health, a longer life expectancy, and improved coping skills benefit positive thinking. To develop positive thinking skills, you should stick to the activities listed here for about four to six weeks. Don't give up hope and keep trying. Keep in mind that you are valuable.

Relationships
Relationships? What comes to mind? I know I'm starting off with a lot of questions does that make any type of sense. Well, we run into this situation each and every day. Relationships are we running from something or we hiding from the truth of the matter. No one wants to be alone, but society tells us that we are greater being independent in everything. That we can accomplish everything in life, and be successful. It takes more than one person in order to play a game there has to be competition. It has to be more than one person or more than one thing it's hard to compete against yourself each and every day. How can you be competitive to the point of achieving greater when it comes to relationships? There are good things and bad things it takes people to be real with themselves and with others. Some people`s intentions of a relationship are to manipulate someone, to take control of others, or just want to abuse them. There are people who get into relationships for the benefit of a companion to grow together, to have memories, to have offspring, and to build family wealth.

Why Kintsugi Is a Lesson in Repairing Things for a Happier Life
Recently my reading glasses broke, in the past either I throw them away, or fix it until I buy a new one. The ones I buy are relatively cheap, but suddenly I don't want to get myself a new one. I can fix this one.

Mental health is important for happiness, and happiness is important for mental health.
You cannot buy happiness with money. A report released by Origins of happiness says when we drop mental health issues our happiness increases by 20%. But when we end poverty our happiness would increase by only 5% which means mental health is far more vital than poverty to our happiness. If you tackle your mental health issues your happiness is 4 times more than overcoming poverty.

The Road to a new Me
As many know, I am a lover of all art forms. What some may not know is I have recently decided to put my heart on the line as well as any and all spare cash that doesn't get used on the needs of myself and my child. To do what you may ask well it is the hope I will be going back to school. Yes, now near 30 years old it seems I will be going back to school for another thing I love. Acting in all its glory is an art form I love. Will it be easy not at all. As I will have to fund this endeavor myself I will have to earn what it costs for each semester.

A Journal entry from 10/5/2011
Today is October 5, 2011, and we have just finished our schoolwork today. The children are sitting around finishing up their schoolwork while she is; trying to figure out why blog.com is not working for her today. In a little while, she will have to go to work and worry about it later. She is; hoping that it will be a little busy today at work. Up and down we go it, is how it is every day. Life is going well right now, and she is still writing in her journal every day.

What does Happiness Look like for You?
When are we going to get away from the idea that bad things only happen to bad people? What if bad things happen to you, simply because things happen? I am indeed one of those people who believe in karma but more than anything, I believe in life. Before I go any further, I should warn you that I am a God fearing woman and in everything I do, I put my beliefs in him first. Understandably, a lot of my beliefs contradict each other but I have come to the realization that everything in life does not always have to make sense to me. Believing that bad things only happen to you because you’re a bad person or because Karma has you on its list is the same thing as believing that everything you believe in, in this life has to make sense to you. It is a form of control. It is a way of thinking that if I put this input in, then I know what outcome I will get. However the reality of life is that things happen and truly, we have no control over anything besides what we put into this life and how we react to its outcomes.

Happy in Doses
I've been wanting to start Happy in Doses for quite some time now. It is a project I've had on my mind with one main goal: to communicate that people are not alone. Even in the darkest times, it feels comforting to know that your feelings are validated and that there are others that can feel similar emotions. I am not a person that believes that listening to other people will make everything better but sometimes just hearing someone else voice their experiences and their lessons learned helps change the perspective of how someone may feel. Especially how they feel in the moment because let's face it-- in the moment highs can run and sometimes overlap into the many long days ahead and drain us. I'm no medical or mental professional but I just want to share my thoughts and experiences with others and explain that is okay to not be happy all the time, even when it comes in doses.

Reconnecting With “The Sublime” Might Be the Solution to Finding Happiness in Daily Life
What do you imagine when you think of “the sublime”? Nowadays, most of us would say it could be a synonym for “beautiful” or “breath-taking”. However, Dr. Siobhan Lyons doesn’t think that’s the case. I read his article on this topic in Philosophy Now (Issue 132, June/July 2019) some time ago, and I still sometimes find myself wondering about his explanation of the phenomenon.

What Brings You Joy?
What brings me joy? For the longest time, I just didn’t know. I would be happy for a moment and then it would slip away like I never had it in the first place. I struggled with this for so long because I saw everyone else around me filled with joy. My parents took me to therapy because I was drowning in temporary happiness that faded into long bouts of depression. I stayed in my room and hid from friends and found more comfort on my own. It was lonely, but I thought it was necessary.
