Understanding your goals to help you achieve them.
Open your mind to new skills
It's 2020 and it's been a disaster across the world. It's the year where the world in our generation falls apart from left to right since the beginning of January. Do you even remember one of the first and biggest incident? Well from what I read in the beginning, it was the Australian Bush Fire. However, I'm not here to talk about the world crisis we're having, I'm here to give you reasons why you should be learning a new skill during your stay at home job, unemployment, or your boredom.

My Philosophy Of Life
As we age, the world expects us to have a fixed idea about our philosophy of life. In a world that is always trying to mould you into its grip, creating values that are unique to ourselves and what we believe in with all our heart, can at times be difficult. To make things worse, we are surrounded by endless ‘formulas' about how to become the next Bill Gates or somebody else that is respected and revered.

The One Question to Ask When Setting Goals
It's far too easy to set goals—my journals are packed full of them—and far too difficult to achieve them. Despite making my goals SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely), I often end up looking back at my old journal entries and feeling disheartened at the lack of progress I've made.

Before I Kick the Bucket
With each passing year, I find myself more focused on the end. It frustrates me to know what I do not know. When I face the end of my life, I have no way of knowing when, my condition, or what will remain unaccomplished. With the unknown before me, I find myself constantly readjusting my bucket list. Once upon a time, I could have listed a hundred or so things I wanted to accomplish before the final curtain. Now, the list is much smaller and is defined by some overarching themes.

Who am I? Lets find out.
I was sitting at the airport, a bloody mary in one hand and my hat in the other. I set them down, and opened pinterest to scroll through aimlessly as I wait for my flight. As I do, these self discovery journal prompts came up and the title of the image says, "WHO AM I?" The questions proceeded to ask me what are 10 things I like about myself, what do I want to change about myself, etc. Corny right? Well, call me corny then, because I was suddenly going down a rabbit hole.

Ignite
As I sit alone breathing in the morning air, ribbons of translucent light surround me. Reaching out in front of me I feel vibrations that are playing music to the beat of my heart. A soft song of heavenly bliss plays against my emotions. Teardrops form a puddle, reflecting into the depth of my soul. Suddenly looking down entranced by the reflection I see, something grips and pulls me in a diametrical world. Twirling and spinning further down I go. I'm now in a trance, gliding through vivid streams of light. Floating weightlessly I pass by embers of glowing teardrops pinging against my heartstrings, gently guiding my way. I feel the soft warm droplets kiss my skin as whispering tones of kindred spirits swirl around me. The soft glow of dancing flames illuminate the darkness, while soothing notes of a rhythmic melody play. Curious thoughts invade my mind pondering the vastness that lies ahead. Transfixed by its magic, but fearing what is unknown. I catch a glimpse of something fluttering, stardust trails behind spiraling. Captivated by the mysterious shadows that are calling me, I am spellbound. Tones of flickering gold and amber penetrate the spell I'm under. Hearing distant voices echoing, calling me I awaken. Silence takes over until I hear a rustling of whispers. Feeling the soft mossy ground beneath my feet, curious feelings taunt me. Hearing the whispers with each step I take, the closer I get the more distinct they sound, words forming together. "Strength comes within bringing out eternal light that never fades." Appearing before my eyes I see the exact words lit by the glow of the embers. Still questioning how I ended up here. Reasons unknown, but there has to be a reason for why I am here. I feel such a deep connection to this place. This magical, beautiful, haunting place. An aching need, a desperate need to know. I let the thoughts float away right now and continue on my journey. Those vibrations are back which felt like an eternity ago, I have lost all sense of time, no grasp on the reality that took me here. Fear sets in, but is quickly whisked away by the soft light that I have become so familiar with. I feel like I am almost to the end of my journey, the warmth of glowing embers gets closer. Seeing such vivid colors, colors that are not from this world, colors that not only when you see them, you actually feel them. How can a color be felt so deep? Never experiencing something so exhilarating, never wanting this euphoria to end. Something grabs hold of me, I can't turn away nor do I want to fight it. The intense glowing heat fills every inch of me, every cell of my being comes to life, I feel awake. Stronger, empowered, such a sense of peace. Never have I ever felt this complete before. Suddenly I am free from the unknown force. What appears in front of me is the most beautiful array of flames, colors so vibrant. I hear a voice, it comes within, you will now know the true meaning for this journey. At this moment, I am again surrounded by ribbons of translucent light. I close my eyes for a brief moment, when I open them I am looking into the reflection of my soul where my journey began. I now realize how beautiful it really is. Beauty is not skin deep, but rather soul deep. Ignite the fire with in you. We are magnificent we just need to see it.
