The biggest Dreams for me
Every day of my life is a “We will figure it out”. I get for a lot of us it is. Right now, I'm working through as many things as I can to one day be able to say, “We 100% got this!” I am more than sure several of you can agree. I can say I am not asking for a lot.

New Year or New Day
Over the years in our society, like many of our ancient traditions, we have lost the origins of New Years. A time to celebrate the new moon and the day of equal sunlight and darkness. To welcome the rebirth of the natural world. A beautiful celebration of remembering our roots and giving thanks to the land. In our celebrations now, we have turned the focus towards ourselves and our personal lives. Blaming life for what’s been happening to us and judging ourselves. We put so much hope and belief that like a fairytale, at the stroke of midnight, when the fireworks illuminate the sky, something magical is going to happen. POOF! All that has taken place in the previous year, all that we’ve experienced and done will magically be erased. We will begin the New Year with a clean slate, where all is forgotten and anything is possible. All the hopes we’ve had and the dreams we’ve imagined will come true.

The Frozen Lich Trading Company: The Lost Black Notebook
A warm beam of spring sunshine danced merrily through the open window between two towering bookcases onto hardwood flooring. Birds were singing their happiness that the long, hard winter had ended. In the corner of the room was a woman seated in front of a large canvas on an easel with a palette of paints on the table next to her where she was also resting her elbow that held up the hand her chin was resting on. Despite the sounds of spring, fresh air, and great lighting Sophie was staring at a blank canvas that was staring back at her.

A Little Faith, A Whole Lot of Hope
Setting down the last of the moving boxes, I settle down on the mahogany floorboards. The last rays of daylight stream from the tall windows that span across the east wall, dancing across the floorboards as the sun lay its head to rest.

My journey back to creativity. Top Story - February 2021.
Holy freaking moly, it's been a goddamn minute. For some reason, the thing I swear I love and is my passion is the same thing I run full speed away from till I'm basically standing on another planet gasping for air thinking 'yeah, this should do'.

The Journey Inside You
It was a tough journey for all of us last year when COVID-19 smack the world. It affects different people in different ways. Most of us lost our jobs and businesses that made us vulnerable. While we are waiting for this pandemic to end, we started to adapt to the new normal, we discover our hidden talents that we are not aware of and we decided to get out of our comfort zone. Our new journey starts here. Learning new things is one of the positive effect happened. We, Filipinos, known as one of the hard working people in the world, will not let this negative thing stop us from our chosen journey. The journey inside all of us, The Journey Inside You.

Chicago
I peel out of the train station’s side exit with about 200 other people and pour into the fast moving stream of commuters on Madison ave as we all cross the bridge over the river. I keep straight for several blocks, keeping the same quick pace and unaverted gaze that only someone who walks the same path each morning could while my music blasts in my earbuds. It’s now 6:50am, and I've been awake since 5:00am. The temptation of using Uber instead of the Red Line pops into my mind, but I'm not a Rockefeller, so I take the same cross street as always past the McDonalds on Randolph and walk underneath some scaffolding that will likely be there for the rest of time. It’s still early, so it's mostly me, the homeless and an occasional few others on each street. I’m making the usual early morning work calls, calling each person on my list until someone picks up and I talk them through the tasks for the day.

Creation Creates
We create because we are the universe continuing to create. The universe was created, and started to form itself into quarks, protons, neutrons, atoms, chemicals, gases, liquids, solids, asteroids, moons, planets, solar systems, galaxies, to continue to build itself into life that could reflect in on itself (as far as we know), and continue to create because that is just what the universe does. We create because there is nothing more or less to do. We do not live to only survive, but to continue our “work” as part of the universe.

The Little Black Book
Paul was in a bad mood. It wasn’t just the cold windy rain of early February, the worst time of year as everyone deceased he ever knew died in February. It was everything. His life, or lack thereof, his long standing self-loathing, which also made it difficult to like any other human being, and his utter failure at achieving what he thought he should have by now at the ripe old age of 45. Sure he had a family, house, and job, but his family thought he was no fun, his house was falling apart, and his job was decent but like most other jobs in the world, meaningless and populated by self-serving sycophants. All of this made the biting wind and freezing rain that much more irksome as he tried to stumble his way to his car after a long night at the office and brief workout at the gym. He rounded the corner to the parking lot when he heard a strange noise near the dark trees. He was going to ignore it but curiosity won him over. The wind died down and now the rain was ice. The sound of ice hitting everything was the first pleasant feeling he had all night. Then he saw IT. Or rather, HER.
