Michelle Obama, The Black Queen
As being a Millennial Woman, or any woman involved in Business or in North America. You’d be very aware of who Michelle Obama is, unless you had lived in a very remote dark place on the Earth and were unaware of your surroundings. Michelle Obama, First Lady and a fashion icon for North America, she wore American Fashion to promote their growth. Her fashion style influenced me that you can still be beautiful even though you dress very classy and in a very conservative way. This influential Black QUEEN, affected the USA if not the WORLD.

The Dreamers.
Screaming on top of her lungs, a black girl child prayed to God to be taken away from her impoverished life. She pleaded if God's there and if he loves her, she wants to be gone forever. Then she shut her watery red eyes, commenced counting for 10 numbers, and waited for God to take her back. A loud yell of "TEN!" concludes the yelling of time down. She cracked her eyes open, and the world was still the same. The slaying hunger and helpless pain hadn't perished yet. She did what she had to do to feed her starving body. She scoured through the trash containers; she stole food. She was just a hungry kid. But she has begun to own it and fight it. And things have changed by her persistence and relentless endeavors.

Why don't you talk Black?
Being born in the late '80s and growing up in the '90s meant that black looked, sounded, and acted a certain way that I didn't always quite live up to. I sucked at basketball, wore button ups and payless shoes, and wasn’t allowed to listen to my first rap album until the age of 17 solely because the artist had a song called "Jesus Walks;” only to have it quickly taken away because my Dad didn't want me listening to such a "lost young man."

Why Is Everyone Talking About Tiffanie Drayton?
In March 2020, all of our lives changed forever as the COVID-19 pandemic started to terrorize the world. I was in beautiful, sunny Tobago to visit my son, his mother, and my family. It would be during this chaotic yet inspiring year that I would realize the real power of words. While in Tobago, I witnessed one of the most innovative and thoughtful authors daily. Tiffanie Drayton is a prolific, accomplished writer who is a 2013 New School graduate. She went on become a freelance journalist writing literary pieces, including "Black Lives Matter protests reveal that white supremacy is a problem everywhere" for Vox, "Officer calls on police to stop justifying George's Floyd's death" for dailydot.com. She also wrote "Why Minority Male Oppression is a Feminist Issue" for Huffington Post, among many other literary pieces. Ms. Drayton has performed interviews with MSN, CNN, NPR, Huffington Post, Complex, and several other mainstream news outlets.

Iyanla Vanzant
Some may call her God’s secretary, the woman I am referring to is Iyanla Vanzant. She is truly a remarkable Black African American Woman of Color. The purpose that God has put on her life to empower, motivate, encourage, uplift, and to be the light in someone’s darkness is the same calling that God has put on my life. Ms. Vanzant is a life coach, inspirational speaker, ordained minister, spiritual teacher, author, TV personality, and some may not know that she is also a lawyer. I inspire to be like her daily in my journey as a Life Coach/Therapist.
