For The Strength to Exit The Tunnels of Life, I Give Thanks
My life hasn’t always been wonderful. Right now things are great, mostly (I don’t think its ever perfect is it? It's not supposed to be). But I’ve walked through hell numerous times. Why am I thankful for that?

Lessons Learned from the Coronavirus
I have been alive for 65 years, and I have never seen the world in such a tumbled heap. But, then I remember the stories my mother and father used to tell me about the great depression. They lived through several wars, and watched the world change from a horse and buggy lamp lit civilization to a technologically advanced arena in a hundred short years.

Being Grateful In the Holidays. Top Story - November 2020.
The Holidays are here again, and I feel totally Scrooged over. From my West Texas apartment, there's not a snowflake in sight, it's not even sweater weather, and no present is expected to be coming in or going out of the premises. That's okay though, I've got gratitude.

What is your biggest stopper to love yourself?
I have this terrible tendency of overthinking. Also, thinking that I am not good enough. My self-esteem has been demolished by my own thoughts, partially contributed to what others think of me. People always say, “who cares what people think?” I just know subconsciously it bothers all of us. Yeah, our exterior says otherwise, “fuck you!” Yet, in the back of your mind, it hurts, it’s offensive, it makes you question yourself.

Thankful
Back in January, the first thing that came to my mind was a huge conspiracy that the world would face regarding the Coronavirus. Sometimes, with the constant communication of “fake news”, one cannot make heads or tails of what is real and what is not. The “Chinese Virus” as Donald Trump calls it became the most prevalent anxiety plaguing my mind at the time. In February, my wife and I went to San Francisco to attend a Coronation Ball. I thought to myself, how odd, no one is wearing a mask even though they say that it would be required in the airport at some point. But truth be told, it did not malinger in my mind for too long as we had work to do. We had to attend events, perform, show our faces to represent Hawaii. We were too busy to see the real news. Just like that huge wave that washed some tables and chairs into the ocean in Brazil when what appeared to be a tidal wave that came in, we just ignored the signs and went on our merry way. We ate at Denny’s, we went to Target, and we even went to Walgreens. Nothing seemed too out of the ordinary.

No Worries
Stop! Take a moment to breathe, in, and out. Reanalyze what's bothering you. What's actually bothering you? This sweet life can be full of uncertainties, failures, regrets, pain, and yet, they don't get better when we merely worry about them, without taking positive actions to address the situation and the reasons we are in such a situation in the very first place.

Reminders and Lessons
To be frank, every time I’ve sat down and wanted to write, I freeze. I overthink. I don’t feel like I have anything to say, and thinking back – that’s absolute bullshit. I started writing again to have a place to vent and feel because I love it and sometimes I need it, eh, a good portion of the time I need it. So, I came into my backyard after getting drinks with one of my best friends, Marc, I’ve now poured myself another double and told myself to write it out. For those who watch Grey’s Anatomy (and if you haven’t, shame on you, you have no excuse now cause we all got the time), Christina and Meredith don’t like to talk about their feelings, we have this in common a lot of the time, so they dance. They dance until they feel happier, and if I learned anything during the last eight months of being stuck in my hometown it’s that dancing it out, writing it out, singing it out, crying it out – whatever your method may be, don’t be ashamed of it, embrace it, do it every chance you can. Also, a playlist was made for this exact purpose if you wanna refer back a couple story, it's called, yes you guessed it, Dance It Out.
