Want to build yourself up? Here are some tips that may change you - in a good way - forever!

Introduction

In this generation, everything has changed. Having being surrounded by technology, a lot of us have just stopped - forgot perhaps - focusing on ourselves. I have seen people - kids especially - drowning into the depths of technology, so much that right now, they just can't stop using devices. Always crying and demanding to watch cartoons on TVs, phones while they are eating or else they wouldn't even take a bite from their food. But this addiction is gonna be their destruction because THIS is what is going to make them loose themselves due to lack of focusing on themselves. If you are also struggling on building yourself, then this is just for YOU!

1. Set your goals.

Make a plan. Find out what you wanna do in life, achieve in your life. Get that ready. Once you got it, write the steps. The steps you need to take for achieving that goal. Build patience, very important. Because if you truly want to build yourself, you have to be patient. You don't know how long it will take to achieve your goals. Once you set your goals, The test of patience is gonna start from that very moment.

2. Leave your comfort zone.

This is one of the MAIN reasons which is stopping you from building yourself. Leave your comfort zone. Leave it. Because the more days you will pass on your comfort zone, the more you will be afraid of taking risks, facing obstacles. If you really want to build yourself, then you have to do this. Challenge yourself. Don't be afraid or nervous.

3. Learn from failures.

Learn from your failures. A very crucial step. If you don't learn from them, believe me, you can never improve. See what was your mistake, think what you can do to avoid repeating it, do what you need to do to improve yourself. DO NOT be sad about it, do not waste your time in thinking that if you would've done something else then maybe you would've done better. No, don't. There's no use. The past is in the past. Your focus should be on the present and the future. Make use of the quote - "Failure is the key to success."

4. Stop comparing yourself to others.

Don't compare yourself others. It will not bring any good. Instead it will just lower your self-esteem rather than motivating you. Be yourself. You are YOU. You are unique, beautiful in your own way. Don't torture yourself.

5. Be optimistic.

Be positive. Be kind to yourself. Take care of yourself and do not burden yourself with things you cannot bear or control. Stay away from negative talks. Be happy. Do things you love to do. Also a tip - continue to help people in need, because the feeling of helping someone is so much different. Notice you will automatically feel a sense of happiness deep down. And talk yourself up. You will never feel good thinking you're not good in this or that, rather if you talk yourself up you'll feel the confidence you have been craving for.

6. Make time for your hobbies.

Do things you love to spend your time on. Whether it's singing, writing, painting, just do it. Pour your feelings and emotions on those things. You'll feel so much light.
