Remain Calm Under Pressure: Narcissistic People Hate That

“Patience Is Not the Ability to Wait: Patience is not the ability to wait. Patience is to be calm no matter what happens, constantly take action to turn it to positive growth opportunities, and have faith to believe that it will all work out in the end while you are waiting.”― Roy T. Bennett

Nothing irritates a narcissist more than a person who will NOT react to their childish, immature antics.

It can be extremely challenging not to react to their childish antics, especially when they are OLDER THAN YOU.

Seeing people who are in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and damn even in their 70s behaving as a spoiled brat has now become hilarious to me.

And please don’t give me that, “As we age, we become babies againNONSENSE.

If you take care of your health by exercising, dieting, reading (for your mental health), and meditation, you can be a FIT GRANDDAD and a HOT GRANDMA.

WE DON’T HAVE TO DECLINE AS WE AGE.

But with narcs, they just never really grew up.

This is why they throw a temper tantrum that is not too dissimilar to your toddler, who is still in their terrible two stages.

Narcissistic people love to get a reaction out of people because it makes them feel like they matter, that they have power and that they can manipulate people.

To them, being able to control everyone, except themselves, is a power.

But in keeping cool, calm, and collected, you show them how UNIMPORTANT and IRRELEVANT they are.

And this…this kills their little ego.

“You will never have a greater or lesser dominion than that over yourself…the height of a man’s success is gauged by his self-mastery; the depth of his failure by his self-abandonment. …And this law is the expression of eternal justice. He who cannot establish dominion over himself will have no dominion over others.”― Leonardo da Vinci

Narcissistic people have no mastery over themselves. So to feel important and like they have value and worth, they need to try and control others.

They need to get reactions out of people.

By denying them a reaction, you show them they have NO POWER OVER YOU.

When they laugh…stay calm.

When they smear your name…speak NOT.

And when they try and character assassinate you…let your silence and nonchalant be the bulletproof vest that protects you from the slings and arrows of unjust criticism.

Be strong enough NOT to GIVE A SH*T what fools, followers, ciphers, and onlookers say.

Because that…that is how you win against them.

Give them nothing and they cannot take anything from you.

“Rushing into action, you fail. Trying to grasp things, you lose them. Forcing a project to completion, you ruin what was almost ripe. Therefore the Master takes action by letting things take their course. He remains as calm at the end as at the beginning. He has nothing, thus has nothing to lose. What he desires is non-desire; what he learns is to unlearn. He simply reminds people of who they have always been. He cares about nothing but the Tao. Thus he can care for all things.” ― Lao Tzu
