The Story of My Dream

Every time I think about the future, my heart beats faster. In my mind, I always imagine a small, cozy home where I can decorate freely, a place where I can build beautiful memories with my close friends. Two years from now, I promised myself that I would own a small apartment, a result of all the effort I’ve put in over the years.

I dream of a place that is warm and comfortable, where every corner tells its own story. "Where do I begin?" I ask myself every time I look at pictures of beautiful apartments I find online. I imagine that my home won’t be too large, but it will have all the necessary conveniences and be spacious. "It has to have a balcony where I can grow vegetables and flowers," I think, my eyes lighting up as I picture the green space I’ll create. Every morning, I’ll wake up and step out onto the balcony, inhale the scent of the earth, and enjoy the fresh air. I’ll grow my favorite vegetables like lettuce and tomatoes, and flowers like roses and petunias. These flowers will bloom in the summer, making my home even more lively and vibrant.

The living room in my home will be where I and my close friends gather after long working hours. I always imagine us sitting together, chatting over tea, sharing stories about work, life, or even each other's dreams. The room will be decorated with soft pastel-colored chairs, small cushions, and a small table with potted plants around it. Especially, I want to have a large bookshelf where I can display my favorite books and souvenirs from my trips. A small painting will hang on the wall, depicting wonderful moments of me and my friends, photos taken during picnics or trips we’ve shared together.

My apartment will have two bedrooms. One will be for me to rest after a long day of work, and the other will be for my friends when they visit. My bedroom will have a large bed with soft, cozy bedding, a wooden wardrobe to store clothes and my favorite items. I dream of a soft night lamp with a gentle yellow light that makes the space feel even warmer. The guest room will have a small bed and a desk where my friends can rest or work if needed. I want each room to have its own personality, yet still be harmonious and neat.

My small kitchen will be where I spend a lot of time preparing my favorite meals. Though not very big, I want it to be fully equipped. A small gas stove, a mini fridge, and some shelves to store spices and kitchenware. I’ve always loved cooking, and I dream of cozy evenings when I can prepare delicious meals for myself or my friends. The aroma of the food will spread throughout the apartment, making the space feel more familiar and inviting.

Although my home will only be a small space, for me, it will be a place full of warmth and love. Every day, I will take care of every little corner, from watering the plants on the balcony, tidying up the living room, to cooking in the kitchen. All these tasks are a joy to me and a way for me to show my love for my home.

I always believe that a home is not just a place to live, but a space that holds memories and love. I hope that in two years, when I look at my apartment, it will be a testament to my hard work and constant effort. And by then, I will proudly say that this is the place I’ve dreamed of and built for so long.
