“O” TH3 THOROUGH BABY: Authenticity Over Everything — A Story of Faith, Pain, and Purpose

Music isn’t always born in the studio. Sometimes it’s born in loss, isolation, reflection, and survival. For “O” TH3 THOROUGH BABY, music is not a trend-chasing exercise—it’s a living testimony. Every record reflects growth, faith, and a conscious decision to remain authentic in a world that often rewards imitation.

From Survival to Self-Discovery

The foundation of the latest project comes from one core decision: choosing to be “ME.” That choice meant embracing identity fully—flaws, pain, growth, and purpose included. What once felt like hardship became fuel. Pain turned into direction, and direction turned into music with meaning.

Earlier records were created during a season of confusion. The sound lacked guidance because life lacked clarity. That period led to setbacks, but it also laid the groundwork for transformation. Today, the music carries intention. Entertainment is still present, but now every bar has purpose and every record tells a real story.

Life as the Blueprint

Creativity comes directly from life experiences. Emotions, moods, and moments spark songs naturally. Some days call for street or party energy, others for reflection and depth. Regardless of the vibe, the approach stays the same—act on inspiration immediately and remain true to self.

Two records define the heart of this chapter: “Letter From God” and “Tears & Fears.” Gratitude and faith are at the center of both. Every day is viewed as a blessing, and the music reflects that awareness. These songs represent more than sound—they represent survival, humility, and purpose.

About 85% of the music comes from lived experience, while the remaining 15% is creative imagination. Honesty always leads creativity.

A Turning Point That Changed Everything

The belief in music started early, at 19 years old, when it became clear there was something special to offer. The true shift happened in 2013, during a season of lost freedom and lost control. That moment reshaped faith, perspective, and identity. What felt like rock bottom became the clearest encounter with God.

Growth hasn’t changed the mindset. Pressure and expectations don’t dictate the path forward. Daily effort, humility, and gratitude remain the priority. The only expectations that matter come from God.

There’s also a common misconception—this is not about following waves. The stance is firm: I am HIM. I am ME. Trends are created, not chased.

Influences Rooted in Emotion and Truth

Musical influence runs deep in rap, hip-hop, and R&B. Legends like Young Jeezy, 2Pac, and DMX laid the foundation, while artists such as Lil Baby, Rod Wave, and Lil Durk represent the current era. R&B holds the deepest emotional connection, with inspiration drawn from Monica, Jodeci, R. Kelly, Jagged Edge, New Edition, and Chris Brown.

Beyond music, inspiration comes from film, sports movies, fashion, and culture. As a TV and Film major, storytelling is second nature. A clothing brand titled Authentic represents identity, self-acceptance, and individuality. Upbringing and lived experience continue to shape the vision.

Major projects are also in motion with brother Christian Griffin, reinforcing the idea that this journey goes far beyond music. This is purpose in motion.

When creative blocks appear, faith remains the source of renewal.

Growth, Balance, and Perspective

One lesson defines this season: God doesn’t always change the situation—sometimes the situation changes you. That truth reshaped the meaning behind the music. The voice didn’t change, but the understanding did. The result is music that entertains while offering direction to those searching for clarity.

Away from the spotlight, balance matters. Prayer, self-awareness, and strong support systems keep life grounded. Even simple, unexpected interests—like watching The Bold and the Beautiful—add to the human side of the story.

Industry Outlook and Creative Vision

The industry is full of talent, but authenticity feels scarce. Too many voices sound alike, and too few stand on truth. A shift is needed—less imitation, more originality, more love, and more honesty.

The biggest challenge has been self-discovery—learning who to be when everyone has an opinion. That challenge was overcome by tuning out the noise and leaning into identity.

Collaborations are built on chemistry. When energy aligns and the vibe is real, the music creates itself.

Legacy in the Making

The long-term mission is clear: AUTHENTICITY above all else.

What’s next isn’t subtle.

It’s a takeover—of space, sound, and spirit.
