Never Chase

Learn to draw to you

By Robert Dean GreenPublished 4 years ago 4 min read

Never Chase... In any aspect of life do not chase your dreams, a relationship, a job, money or good health. Everyone wants their desires fulfilled. We are taught by society we must hustle and grind for the things we want. Hard work and dedication are definitely a part of the equation, and carry within their own rewards; but it is merely a part. A jigsaw puzzle is not complete by placing all your focus on a single piece. It is a collective of all the pieces to complete the picture. When you chase it is a definite signal you are sending out that you do not have what you want (lack mentality) so you must you go out and chase after your desires to obtain them. That is an outward push and yes that may result in you reaching your goal, but it may not be a lasting achievement. That thought process feeds the internal narrative that everything you receive in life comes from the outside world around you. This mindset is limiting in the fact that you have little control over how your life unfolds before you. This is best described in the short story "House of 1000 rooms."

You awaken to find yourself in a room lined with doors on every wall. Suddenly, the keeper of the house appears on a large television screen above a row of doors. He explains that you are a prisoner in a house with 1000 rooms. He then tells you that the room you are in has several doors which all lead to different possibilities. One however is the exit out of the room. If you can find the correct door and exit the room he will show you the other 999 rooms. You spring into action and approach each door. You push and push on every door but they will not budge. After hours of attempting to open each door unsuccessfully you get frustrated and give up. Sitting down you feel it is an impossible task and no longer even try. After what seems like an eternity the house keeper enter the room and you notice...the door opens inward. Once you start living from within you will not only be able to see the other 999 rooms but you will be able to leave the house entirely.

The power in life comes out of the realization that you are the power and you have carried that power within your whole life. When you see your desires, do not run after them externally in hopes to catch them. See them as already yours and give thanks for them as if they were already a part of your life; and release them while moving in their general direction. You do not have to figure out the how's. The how's are the domain of the universe. It always know the fastest, easiest and most rewarding way to deliver your dreams to you and deliver you to your dreams. Do not think of the lack of them or all the details along the way. Those are going to happen anyways. Always and only focus on the end result. The how's (people, circumstances, and events) will appear out of your commitment to the what. If you stay focused on the end result the way will be presented to you. That is the difference between power and force. Tapping into your inner power leads to endless possibilities in which your dreams can become reality. Force is a limiting act as you think that you have to come up with all the answers and make it happen. This cuts off all other possibilities of how your desires can be delivered to you.

Think of it this way: You are on a hike in the mountains and you are getting thirsty. Ahead you see an ice cold stream running parallel to your path. You walk up with an open hand and thrust it into the water tightly closing your hand. As you pull your hand out of the water all the water drains back into the stream. That is force...The trick would be to match the flow of the water to create a oneness that leads to the end goal being obtained. So you kneel down to the stream cupping both hands like bowl and gently raise the water to your mouth. That is power. Matching the flow of energy will ignite your soul and make the journey one of intent, instead of happenstance.

So how do you do that? Through positive energy and thought. When you think and more importantly feel the results you want instead of placing your focus on that which you do not have; you mirror the frequency of the same. Thinking of lack and placing your focus on that which you do not have will only perpetuate the same.

Think of it this way...You enter an endless room with extension cords running its length and width as far as the eye can see. Each cord carries within its own energy. One cord is love, one is hate, there are cords with fear and others with abundance. The goal is to find the correct cord that mirrors your desires and plug in; riding the wave of energy towards your desires. How? Through the thought and feelings you carry within. Do you wake up in dread that you have to get the kids to school and go spend a third of the day or more at a job you dislike? Or do you awake with a heart full of gratitude for the new day and all it will entail. One option leads to a life of reaction, living by default. The other leads to a limitless life of creation and intent.

So never chase....Never beg or be needy. Allow life to flow to you. The flower does not seek out the bee. It is an effortless natural creation which is aligned with the life giving powers of the universe. The grass does not strain to grow. You should not strain to live....
