My Story Part 1

There are plenty of different career paths that you could follow. Adults start asking their children pretty young what they want to be when they grow up. What did you say when asked that? Many kids will say ‘princess’, ‘famous’, ‘a singer’, or any list of careers they know. I said that I wanted to be a teacher the first time I was ever asked this question. Since then, my answer had changed to wanting to be a famous singer or dancer as well as wanting to be a lawyer, police officer, and marine biologist. The want to be a teacher has always stuck with me, though.

I still have dreams of becoming famous, but I knew that I needed to follow a more realistic dream. I still post videos on YouTube and TikTok to satisfy my want to be known for those, but I also started attending school to become an Elementary school teacher. I was always worried about costs and that I wouldn’t be good enough to last through college. My father’s ex-fiancee led me to the university I currently attend. I am a student at Western Governor’s University in their Elementary Education degree program. This program is supposed to take four and a half years to graduate which also includes a three month period of field experience. I started this course in April 2021. It is currently August 2021 and I am already about halfway through my entire program.

With the right tools, it is possible to achieve anything you put your mind to. Even the most unrealistic things can be possible if you learn how to accomplish them. Without the help of my father’s ex-fiancee, I would not have found a school that allowed me to push my worries aside and just focus on learning. She provided me with the correct tools that I needed to succeed, and I owe her so much for getting me to where I am today.

I still follow my dreams that many people believe to be impossible or unrealistic. I know that there is a chance that I won’t succeed in reaching the goals I have, but I also know that there is a chance that I will. I’m happy just knowing that I am trying my best to be the version of me that I’ve always wanted to be. Following these dreams and being myself are what has led me to where I am. I have an amazing fiancé who supports me through everything I want to do with my life and two soon-to-be step-sons. One of which lives with me and my fiancé, the other lives too far away and I have never met, but both of these boys are absolutely amazing.

I was scared to move on with my life. I’ve gone through a lot and I had been stuck on my past for a while now. I want to share my life with the world and learn to continue moving forward. My fiancé pushes me to continue and to focus on the present. This is my story, and I want to show people that no matter what you’re going through, it can get better and you can follow your dreams.

My past will always be a part of me, but I’m changing every day. I’m still young and I have a lot of life left ahead of me. I may have been through a lot already, but I’m still growing and still pushing forward. Not everyone goes through the same experiences and that’s okay. Some people want to share their experiences while others don’t, and that’s okay, too. I want to share my experiences, and this is just the beginning. Feel free to follow along as I share my journey.
