What’s your name and where are you from?
-My name is Demetrius Mvuselelo Mavi. I was born and raised in Pasadena, California. Pasadena is located about 15 minutes north of downtown Los Angeles. The city is most known for the Rose parade held in the city annually on New Year’s Day and the Rose bowl stadium that has hosted many sporting events, concerts, and even a few super bowls.
Why do you love what you do?
-I love being an artist because it is a fun way to express situations and emotions I may be dealing with in my life. Music is a huge part of everyday life and many different people can relate to it. When someone tells me they heard my music and enjoy it, that makes me feel like this is exactly what I’m meant for. So my passion continues to grow for it everyday. I know my music is great, I just want the world to be exposed to my music and my brand so I can make a difference in the lives of people around the world.
What makes you different?
— I think the thing that makes me different is my genuine personality. I am extremely authentic, I am always looking out for someone else, I support all my friends and loved ones with whatever they are trying to accomplish, I am very articulate, and I am passionate about whatever and whoever I may be involved with. I constantly show love for everyone that is around me but also for myself as well. These values have been instilled in me since I was a kid.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
-In 5 years, I see myself being successful in the entertainment industry and using my success to become an entrepreneur and starting other business. I also want to be involved in acting as well. I see myself having a family and creating a legacy for my grandkids and beyond to be able to live comfortably without having to struggle like I did. I want my name to be recognized along side some of the greats.
What do you want to accomplish in life?
-I want to accomplish generational wealth. I want to make sure that everyone in my immediate circle is taken care of in order to continue to build up this empire that is Different Type Of Breed. That is why I am constantly talking about DTOB. It’s not just a brand, it’s a lifestyle. I want people to understand that being a Different Type Of Breed is fine.
What do you bring to your industry?
-I think to the industry I am bringing authenticity, confidence, originality, diversity, and craftsmanship. I put a lot of thought into my work. I do my best to make it more than just words on a beat. These are real life stories that I know people can relate to. That is what makes music so appealing to listeners.
What do you want to be remembered by?
-I want to be remembered for always being authentic and genuine. It is so hard to find those traits in people now a days so I take pride in being that person. I also want to be remembered as someone who works hard everyday. No matter how tough the circumstances may be. I want to set examples for the next generation of humans and show them that with hard work, grit, and dedication, anything is possible. Most importantly, I want to be remembered as someone who always looked out for his people no matter what the circumstances are.

Rachel Reviews: The Spiral Archive by Pieter Hendrik
It's difficult for me to know where to start with a review of this book as it was, for me, an entirely unique experience and one that I'll probably never have again. I don't want that to be interpreted as unenjoyable but it has left me scratching my head a little and ruminating on its content, its themes and its characters.
