Meet BabyB

What’s your name and where are you from?

My birth name is Blake Berry. My rap name Is BabyB, I came up with that back in 2010 when I found out Lil B was already a rapper lol. I was born at UAMS hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas on the 3rd of January in 1995, I was raised down a dirt road in a town called Gravel Ridge, about 20 minutes outside of Little Rock. My dad was a machinist for the Union Pacific railroad, and my mom worked as a part time waitress to keep my sister, brother and me fed during the week. They divorced when I was 10 and we moved a little further northeast to Beebe which is around the time I picked up on rap music.

Why do you love what you do?

The craft of free styling is a big part, I love

getting in a group of homies and just going line for line over beats. I love writing a few raps here and there as well, I love testing myself with different flows and cadences buy using random beats that I don’t normally rap over. Making music is the one thing I truly never get tired of and love to do.

What makes you different?

I want it more that’s why ima make it out cause I ain’t lazy, I believe we all have a purpose and I feel like this is mine. I just need the right people to take a chance on me so I can shake the game up and start eating. I’ve always been different cause im relentless and driven. Im blessed that I’ve made it this far in music and in life tbh, It’s only up from here.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself probably working on my 3rd or 4th album, finally seeing some major cash flow starting to come through preparing for my second North American tour. I really would like to have a song with Drake or J.Cole by then haha that'd be sick. I actually want to work with Carter Tomorrow on the real, that dude is out here killing it in the underground scene. Yunggoth of course is on my dream list and if I ever get on a song with post Malone and Justin Bieber that would be unbelievable.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

Making it out of this nothing state and buy my mom a big house and a nice Mercedes Benz, being able to take care of my family with ease and helping the next homie who is aspiring to make it in the game. I just want to be a good person and make myself and my family proud.

What do you bring to your industry?

I bring a sound and style that is authentic and genuine, I don’t know of anybody else that sounds like me in the game today, I’m an all around artist and musician, I am learning guitar and how to make beats too so I can create my own music. My roots in music go as far back as Elvis and the Beatles and as far out as Hank sr and Johnny cash, I love all music but when it comes to rap, I can’t get enough. I’ll show you what I can bring to the game I promise.

What do you want to be remembered by?

Someone who wasn’t afraid to turn their dream into reality who made good music and loved to live life. Someone that didn’t care if you liked him or not bc he was here and there wasn’t anything you could do but vibe a long.
