What’s your name, and where are you from? My name is Anthony Cosenza. I was born in
Rhode Island (shout out to the 401), but I live in Massachusetts now.
Why do you love what you do? This may sound cliché, but I really do love to learn. Learning
allows me to try something different, do things I haven’t tried before, and really become in tune
with my creative side. As a business coach, these new skills now allow me to share successful strategies that I’ve been able to implement, and that gives me the privilege to share them with my clients so they can not only challenge themselves to execute it as well but also take their
business to the level their desired level.
What makes you different? What makes me different is I don't take a cookie-cutter approach.
Each client's situation is different, so my initial session with them is solely about figuring out if
the information they've filled out prior to meeting with me is really their pain point(s) or if there is
something else that is the root cause. Many times, we as people perceive one thing to be the
specific issue when it's entirely something different, so having someone who's been in many situations allows them to share the experience on how they handled it, what was done to solve it, or even if it is identifying this isn't your problem and focus on (blank) challenge, so it will translate to you achieving your goal faster.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In the next 5 years, I see myself doing more speaking engagements. I grew up poor and have overcome so many obstacles already (from foster care, losing my mother early in life to murder, and being diagnosed with ADHD in my adult years) that I want to continue to be a shining light to others that regardless of your current situation you have an opportunity to build a better life it just begins with starting. You don’t start running as a child. You have to take the first step. After that, you build momentum, and eventually, you get to a point running isn’t hard; it becomes natural. Again, take the first step. You’d be amazed at what you can overcome by just starting.
What do you want to accomplish in life? I’ve accomplished so many great things already, and I know I’ll continue to accomplish more things in life, but it would be an honor to be featured as a topic of discussion in schools. As children start to learn about what it takes overcome wars, hardship, and challenges, I want them to be able to read about me and say not only does he look like me, but he overcame what I may be going through, and as a result, I now feel more prepared to face that battle because of everything Anthony Cosenza has persevered from.
What do you bring to your industry? I bring swag, flare, and personality, but the most important thing I bring is authenticity. There are a lot of great business coaches, but what separates me from many is I take unique approaches to my clients. This has resulted in them getting out of their shell and approaching that hurdle from a different mindset which, in most cases, allows them to overcome that situation faster.
What do you want to be remembered by? I want to be most remembered as someone who genuinely cares about people succeeding and is joyed to hear others overcome their hard times. While I am not perfect and have my flaws, I do give my best efforts to help others achieve their desired goals.
