Manifesting

It was just any other normal day for me. I woke up early and began the day with my morning routine. I cannot stray from it, or else the rest of the day will feel chaotic for me. I make my bed, write in my gratitude journal, drink some coffee, prepare my workout bag, then go head to Hot Yoga. I’d like to think I am a spontaneously organized free-spirit. My workout ends, I shower, then head home to get ready for work. I currently work at a sushi restaurant called ‘Chiba’, The owner is a retired race car driver and basically perfects every task there is. Guitar, surfing, recipes for the restaurant, you name it. With that being said, a lot of well-known wealthy people come into dine to support him.

As I'm getting ready for work I decide to light some incense, gather my crystals, and try to manifest some money for the upcoming day in this little black book my grandmother had gotten me before she passed. I have always felt connected to her and my other ancestors and have always trusted in their timing and arrival of my blessings. I have overcome extremely difficult situations with them by my side. Some days, I can communicate with them through rainbows and repeated numbers. They give me a repeating number and I write down what it means to me, so then they know the meaning I put behind it when they show me. I write down my usual abundance mantra, “I am a money and blessing magnet. When I am being my authentic self people want to give me money.” I look up and my incense is going crazy, doing circles and slitting from side to side. Without overthinking it, I head to work.

I park on the street in front of my restaurant and as I'm about to head in, I notice the license plate on the car ahead of me has 555 in it. This was usually a regular occurrence that I saw numbers like this, but after this morning with the incense, the energy of this felt stronger than usual. Especially with 555 meaning change is on the horizon between my guides and I. It wasn’t an uneasy feeling, moreso a feeling of anticipation that overcame me. I got really excited for my day at work and headed in with what felt like a magnetic energy to opportunity.

The day started off slow. I had a few tables here and there, mostly regulars who liked to come in and order off of the Happy Hour menu, which was great for them price wise, but not as great for me tip wise. Either way, I was grateful to make anything at all. Around 7:00 pm a family comes in who caught my attention. A man with his wife and 3 kids all dressed like they were heading off to the Grammy’s after this meal. Obviously intrigued, I ran up to the front and decided I wanted them to sit in my section on the stage. I get them situated and grab them some waters when I decide to find some common ground and build that connection. “Love your outfits, going all out tonight I see?” I said while dropping mini plates off for each of them, “Thank you” he replied. “We actually just got back the rewards.” Not knowing what that specifically met, but still patting myself on the back for the connection to the grammy’s thought earlier, I congratulated them.

Some time goes by, as well as some drinks and appetizers, when I head back to check in with their table and get 20 questions. The wife looks not at all surprised, nor do the kids, so I figured this was just the type of guy he was. Questions ranged from ‘Why did you choose to work here?’ to ‘What motivates you?’. I tried to answer honestly to them all. I thought he was finally finished when he suddenly got very serious and asked me what my dream was. It seemed like he asked this question in slow motion. I took a deep breath thinking there’s nothing to lose telling my dream to a stranger in a nice suit. “My dream..” I drifted off trying to gather how to articulate my words to be impactful and meaningful. “Honestly sir, I know i’m here to do something. Something important. I’ve felt it deep inside myself for as long as I can remember. I don’t know exactly what it is yet, but I know I will lead by example for every kid out there with a dream. I want to show kids, adults, people in general that it is possible to heal and overcome those self-doubts and fears and be what they want to be, do what you they truly want to do. That your mind creates your reality. I know I need to perform in some way, whether it’s dancing, singing, acting… I’m not too sure but I know with certainty that I will figure it out.” Him and his whole family looked around at each other than back at me, without saying a word. They almost spoke through their eyes. After what seemed like the longest period of silence i’ve ever been through, he nodded his head and thanked me for dinner. I politely nodded and walked away thinking I had overshared.

The conversation is still replaying in my head while I do the dishes, I decide to build up the courage and go check on them before they leave. They all were already up and in the bar, saying good-bye to Keith. I wasn’t surprised at all that a family like that happened to know Keith. I begin clearing off their table and taking all the dishes to the kitchen. I clear the whole table then go to grab the check. Shivers ran down my spine when I opened my checkbook to see the tip amount. “This has got to be a mistake.” I thought to myself. I ran to the front of the restaurant to see if they were still around waiting for the valet. It was too late, they had already left. I went back to the table they were sitting at and saw a note placed on the man’s chair that stated, “Emily, not only did you provide amazing, attentive service, you have a light that not only me, but my family noticed as well. I am involved with scouting the next big people. I’ve invested in Margot Robbie, Ariana Grande, Jessie J, and a bunch of other very successful, talented people you have probably seen or listened to. I see the same thing in you that I did them. It is an unexplainable energy you all have given off that I have been blessed to be able to recognize in people. I know you will use this $20,000 wisely. Go for your dreams kid.”

And from that moment forward, my new life began.
