Managing Stress
What is stress and how to cope with it

Heya! Welcome back!
'Managing stress'
Stress is not actually a problem but an overthinking that, if we want, can be taken as a challenge rather than an issue. Every one of us today is going through various kinds of stress, it can be a deadline for an assignment or lower grades for a student, low income for a working man, the safety of children for parents, health for almost all of us, etc. We usually unknowingly make deadlines and necessities stressful instead of to-do.
First, we need to know that stress is not a problem, it's natural. It is entirely ok not to be ok! Even most of the time it helps us get our work done on time by creating a sense of emergency.
Yet you can manage to overcome it by considering the stress as a challenge rather than a problem. Not only it will keep you motivated but also will let you compete with yourself and become a better version of your own.
Second, stress mostly is the outcome of what society expects from us and we're unable to do it. Hey, champ! You just have to remember who you were before the world told you who you should be.
No buddy! I am not underrating your problems..
There is another kind of stress, which is not a result of any temporary deadline or thinking but a long story. For such kinds of mental stress, psychologists have researched and developed various techniques to cope with it.
First, I will suggest my favorite YouTube channel for managing any kind of emotions- Psych2Go
No, not sponsored, this channel creates really soothing and helpful videos, you will love it.
Now I'll suggest some methods that have personally helped me.
1. Meditation: Even just a 10-minute of guided meditation(easily available on YouTube)helps a lot in calming your brain. Yeah, you can of course do it by yourself too.
2. Connecting with nature: Going out in the greenery, walking on grass, breathing fresh air, and sitting under the sky release stress and provide deep pleasure.
3. Getting new hobbies: Starting a new hobby gives a positive and soothing indication to the brain. You can start reading self-help or fiction as per your taste. (I am myself a non-fiction self-help book lover). You may start learning a new musical instrument. You can draw or do some DIYs. Doing creative things gives pleasure and soothes the brain.
4. Mindful Cleaning: Decluttering the desk, organizing the books on the bookshelf, and washing dishes give a sense of clear feelings to the brain that releases anxiety.
5. Listening to your favorite playlist makes you joyful and sets you in a good mood.
6. Doing self-care like skin care, DIY pedicures, or making a new hairstyle helps to release stagnant stress. Cooking something good for yourself also helps you come out of the sadness.
7. Talking to your closest friend about your worries and sharing the reason for your stress is one of the best things to do. When you're suffering a lot, it's important to let at least one of your friends know about your situation, maybe they could give the best advice, and even if not, you will feel calm just by sharing it.
Concluding, stress is not something you need to worry about, you will be stressed for having the stress, lol. Try a new hobby and go out on walks, feel nature, and connect with yourself. Being happy is a choice after all UwU.
