Life changing encounter that change my life

Life changing encounter that change my life

By Bilal JakaPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

I was living my life on autopilot, going through the motions of each day without any real direction or purpose. I had a good job, a comfortable apartment, and plenty of friends, but something was missing. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but I knew that I needed a change.

One day, I decided to take a trip to the mountains. It had been years since I had been hiking, and I felt that a little time in nature might help clear my mind. I packed a backpack with some supplies, laced up my hiking boots, and set off for the trails.

The hike started off easy enough, but as I climbed higher, the air grew thinner, and my legs began to ache. I pushed myself, determined to reach the summit. As I neared the top, I felt a sense of accomplishment wash over me. I had done it. I had climbed the mountain.

As I stood at the peak, taking in the breathtaking view, I heard a voice behind me. "Nice climb," the voice said. I turned around to see an old man, with a kind face and a warm smile.

"Thanks," I replied, "It was tough, but worth it."

"I'm sure it was," he said. "Do you mind if I sit with you for a moment?"

"Of course not," I replied, gesturing for him to sit down.

We sat in silence for a few minutes, just taking in the view. Then the man turned to me and asked, "So, what brings you up here?"

"I just needed a change," I replied. "I've been feeling a bit lost lately, and I thought some time in nature might help."

"I see," he said, nodding thoughtfully. "Well, I have a story for you, if you'd like to hear it."

"Sure," I said, intrigued.

The man began to tell me a tale of his own life-changing encounter. He had been a successful businessman, living a life of luxury and indulgence. But one day, he woke up and realized that he was unhappy. He felt as though he was living a life that wasn't truly his own, and he knew that he needed to make a change.

So, he left his job, sold his possessions, and set off on a journey of self-discovery. He traveled the world, meeting new people, and exploring different cultures. And along the way, he discovered a new passion - helping others.

He had started a charity, and spent his days working to make the world a better place. And he was happier than he had ever been before.

As he finished his story, the man turned to me and said, "You see, sometimes we need to step outside of our comfort zones and take a risk. We need to be willing to let go of what we know, in order to discover what we truly want. And sometimes, it's only when we're lost that we can truly find ourselves."

His words hit me like a ton of bricks. I realized that he was right. I had been living my life on autopilot, afraid to take risks and make changes. But I knew deep down that I wanted something more. I wanted to feel alive again.

As I made my way back down the mountain, I felt a sense of clarity that I hadn't felt in a long time. I knew that it was time for me to take a risk, to let go of what was holding me back, and to start living the life that I truly wanted.

Over the next few months, I quit my job, sold my possessions, and set off on my own journey of self-discovery. I traveled to new places, met new people, and tried new things. And as I did,
