How Positive Emotions Can Be Life Changing
For a long time now negative emotions have been identified as necessary emotions; they help to initiate the "fight or flight" mode when in danger. The negative emotions we experience help us narrow in on the danger and then make a decision that is in our best interest based on the danger we are facing. If you are feeling depressed, you know you should take some actions such as watching a good comedy, having a visit with good positive friends, and other activities to lift the mood. If you feel you are in danger from a person or an animal, you know that you may need to flee or stand your ground to fight the situation. The negative emotions allow us to narrow our perceptions to the situation.

Seams
All I want is to be happy, but that’s all anyone really wants, isn’t it? Have you ever had so many feelings running through your mind and soul that you can feel the metaphorical seams of your body start to rip? So much anger, there’s a stitch that popped. Fear, that’s a stitch following suit. Frustration, there’s a stitch. Hopelessness, stitch. Pain, stitch. Irritation, stitch. Thousands of more ways to explain anger and sadness, stitches.

Who Am I Actually?
When you read the title, what did you picture? Did you visualize yourself exactly how you are right now, or were you bombarded with imagery of who you’d like to be? That question is something I ask myself daily and has recently become more of a burden then I’d like it to be.

Courage!
COURAGE!!! Some people have it and most of us don't. What is courage? According to Wikipedia, "Courage (also called bravery or valour) is the choice and willingness to confront agony, pain, danger, uncertainty, or intimidation. Physical courage is bravery in the face of physical pain, hardship, death or threat of death, while moral courage is the ability to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal, discouragement, or personal loss. The classical virtue of fortitude (andreia, fortitudo) is also translated 'courage', but includes the aspects of perseverance and patience." That is the denotation and some connotation of the word COURAGE.

The Girl in the Shadows
They all know me but they don’t know me personally. They say I’m nice, sweet, kind, caring, thoughtful and trustworthy. They don’t know me or how I really am. What they don’t know is that I just want a friend, someone I can count on, someone to love other than my family. I want someone to be there for me, and most of all I want someone to care. Everyone has their own battles but not everyone can fight them alone, even though they seem stronger than you are. I know that because the people who I think are strong come to me for advice. When I need advice who do I turn too? Where can I go? Yes I am thankful for the friends and family I have around me. I am always grateful for the things I have. Deep down I know I can have more, but when will it be my turn? I try to be supportive of everyone but truthfully it has done nothing but send me back to square one. Back to the place I was excited to leave. When I turn bitter, I see everyone excelling. When I try to be supportive I still see people excelling. When will it be my turn? When can I finally see some progress in my my life? That’s all I want. I want to work towards my happiness but my happiness comes from seeing people happy which I enjoy. I don’t mind helping people. I enjoy people feeling better knowing that I have helped them. At the end of the day, I am drained and lost in a world where I know I can be doing big things but something is holding me back. I feel like I've ended up with people that made me feel alone because they only call me when they need me. I learned how to plan my life around what I really want in life, and that doesn't include many people. It's ok. I've learned to deal with loneliness by doing things I like by myself.

It's Okay to Get Lost. It'll Save You
When I graduated from high school, I thought I had a clear-cut idea of how life was going to be. I'd go to college, meet new people, and come out of my shell. I would ditch the introverted, shy exterior and make loads of new friends. It would be the year I learned to drive and become independent. It would be my year. And in a strange, painful twist of fate, it has been.

Bullet Journaling 101, but from a Beginner
I've always admired people who have beautiful handwriting, are super artsy, seem have their lives together, and usually they bullet journal. Go figure. If you don't know what a bujo is (bullet journal for short), it's basically a planner/super artsy book that people use for literally whatever they want. It can be filled with beautiful pages with inspirational quotes surrounded by artwork, or a monthly layout that included a planner, calendar, mood trackers and habit trackers, etc. Anyone who has a bujo will tell you that it can be whatever you want/need it to be, it's your journal, so be yourself when writing in it.

Focus on Creating the Best Version of YOU
Are you having the best day of your life? Probably not. But that’s doesn't mean that today doesn’t matter. Every day matters. Every day is another chance to turn your life around. Most people would say they’re not living their life to its full potential or even enjoying their life at all. You only have one life to live. If you’re not living for yourself, who are you living for?
