The Power of Pizza
Beauty is a thing with wings, flying high, beautiful, and blind in the sky until it isn't so high anymore, or flying so much as crashing headfirst into the ground. When you really think about it, that's high school. Hell, that's life. You don't normally see the beauty in it though, do you? Well, most people don’t. Joseph B. Wirthlin once said, “The more often we see the things around us—even the beautiful and wonderful things—the more they become invisible to us. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world: The flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds—even those we love. Because we see things so often, we see them less and less.”

The Art of Doing
Sitting in a coffee shop in Carson, California, reading a few chapters of a motivational book I picked up at an Urban Outfitters store months prior, was the key to my successes today, and my future successes. Imagine being told that you couldn't or shouldn't pursue something, because of your social status, or because of how people perceive you to be. There is this common misconception in the middle-lower class that you should stay in this comfy-cozy bubble of office jobs, minimum wage jobs, or even boring high class jobs. Before I continue, this is not a biased article. I respect everyone's work choices, and what they choose to do in this life to survive and be happy. This article is for the young bosses who have yet to discover that they're capable of doing so much more. The young bosses aged between their mid-teens to late twenties need to hear this. The only thing that keeps you back from your goals in life, whether its major, minor, short/long-term, is your energy that is given when performing the art of doing.

My Visions in Meditation
I am bad at meditating. I could never get my mind to be still. Except recently I’ve been needing it to. And I’ve been feeling spiritually sensitive, so I tried again. I don’t know if this is normal, but I had vision accompanied with it. On two separate occasions:

Free Massages
I was sitting on the sofa and my back was SO tense. I was squeezing my shoulders and upper back with both hands. I could feel the pain and tense pressure moving within my muscles. The aches seemed to gravitate through my whole body. At the same time, I was throwing myself a pity party for being in such pain with no one around to massage it away. I was listening to some podcast on human connection. That particular podcast made me think of a quote from Martin Luther King that I had recently read, “Life’s most urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'” So I thought, surely I wasn’t the only woman with back pain. Surely other moms are writhing in pain and the closest she can get to a message is when her toddler jumps on her neck as if she’s a human trampoline.

Don't Worry
Growing up, I was put down constantly. Whether it came to my height, my weight, my race… There were times my own parents put me down as well. I’ve had a lot of downs in my life that caused my depression to skyrocket for years. My parents were mentally and physically abusive, people who I thought were my friends left me behind, and my relationship was constantly on and off. I was never the smart girl, the pretty girl, the girl everyone wanted to know… I was just me. Regular, ordinary, awkward, and weird. I had a lot of dreams that really helped me keep pushing, keep trying, and keep living. I also have a few friends who really believed in me and kept encouraging me to keep going when I was about to quit.

What Was the Last Thing That Made You Smile?
I read the flyer, taped neatly on the mirror in the bathroom. It had been put up (supposedly) by an on-campus psychology research group. A QR code and an email address were printed on the bottom left corner—for those who wanted to participate in their study (I'm assuming).

How To:
If you're anything like me, mornings are a no go. I hate waking up early... well, let me rephrase. It is soooooo hard for me to wake my brain up in the morning, and get into a good mood. Later on in the day I am thanking myself for getting up that early, because I was able to get so much accomplished, but getting motivated when my eyes first open, and it's before eight AM? Count it dead. Not happening. Try again later. BUT I HAVE FOUND A WAY TO GET THERE, granted some days are harder than most, but if you want to know how I conquered my mornings keep on reading:

I Can Be Needy
Say what you want about Ariana Grande, but her song "needy" really goes off, especially for a girl like me. She repeats often through the song, "I can be needy... tell me how good it feels to be needed," and I don't think there is a lyric I relate more to. This being said, I would like to apologize in advance to all my current friends (who have seen this side of me), my future friends, and (God bless this man) whatever guy I end up with, y'all are saints for putting up with me.

You Are Always Changing, Growing, and Evolving!
The month of May is just around the corner, and it's the fifth month of the year, which is the number of change in numerology. I do suspect that big changes will be happening, as this is the only thing that is constant in our universe.
