Walking into Deep Time
A silver doorknob. Aluminium? I suppose. A little loose, somehow, so it catches when I turn it—but wait, before I turn the knob I’ve got to reach up to the top lock—my mother calls it “the double lock”—and turn its much smaller knob to the right to open it. Now I can turn the doorknob. Now I am pulling open the metal door of my parents’ apartment, now I am stepping across the threshold to see, just to my left, a poster from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Beneath my feet, sturdy brown carpet scrolls all the way down the long hallway to the elevators, fifteen or twenty steps away. A mirror opposite the four lifts, the metal call buttons I still think of as “new”, even though they were installed when I was a teenager. I’m fifty years old now, and my parents have been dead for a dozen years, but their apartment, this hallway, remains—I believe—perfectly contained in my mind and heart, and so in my imagination, I decide to talk a walk, beginning here, in the place I tell myself I still know best.

How to Be a Morning Person
1. Open Your Curtains ASAP. Opening your curtains/blinds brings the daylight into your room, which may help you wake up a bit easier. Especially in summer, the sunlight is bound to make you want to get up quicker, so that you can enjoy the most of your day while the sun is up.

Bullied to Blessed
When I was four years old, I was excited for school, ready to meet new people, make new friends, the whole social thing. Sadly, things took a very unexpected turn: I was constantly bullied by the kids there because I was different. I wasn’t very smart and was even suggested to go to special ed because the teachers said there was something wrong with me. Talk about a confidence killer. There I was, sitting in special ed all that time in elementary school on the shores of Hawaii. As a military brat, you can never adjust to one spot as you are constantly on the move, so Hawaii lasted for only seven years of my life.

How to Make Money Doing What You Love
Today, I wanted to talk about the idea of doing what you love while getting paid for it, because from my own experience, it seems that so many people are just worried about making a living, which really isn't all that hard to do, but we over complicate things greatly, and then we can't seem to step outside of our comfort zone to go towards a life of greatness, because playing it safe is comfortable, but far less fulfilling.

The Appreciation of Time
One thing that has come to my attention fairly recently is people's use of time. We all have the same 24 hours in a day, but how you use those hours will be unique to you, and very specific. It will also be a good indication on how you value your time, and what it means to you. There are different ways to approach this and view this, and I think due to the complexity of the subject, I aim to break it down significantly enough for you to understand my point of view, and how I perceive things. I will not tell you how to spend your time. I will not advise the best way, I will not say you are doing it right or wrong, or that you are wasting it, nor spending it wisely. This is just how I perceive it, and how I view and spend my time.

Morning Minute with StoneDancer
Morning Minute; Faith vs. Perception I am StoneDancer. As I unpack each layer, my challenge is to not race ahead of myself to “fix” things too quickly so that I don’t rob myself of the fullness of my truth and the depth of the lesson(s) I am meant to internalize.

Dye Your Hair Blue
Living life how others want you to live—it can be so detrimental to your health. My father's health had slipped, and up to that point in my life I had a comfortable job that didn’t pay me well, but I was happy; I decided I needed to get a full-time job to help my mom pay bills. It was at a Big corporation retail store. It was fun at first, but after a while, I felt like a sell-out, like I couldn't make any moves or decisions for myself anymore, all aspects of my life were controlled by my family and my job. My personality felt non-existent, and every day was spent in a haze. I kept asking myself, what my next move would be in my life after. So far, at $13 an hour, this was my best-paying job. I had worked hard the past two years, to get to this place in my life. From drug addict to saleswoman to corporate. Yet, I wasn't happy, and I felt burned out.

Obliterate Self-Limiting Beliefs in 4 Simple Steps
Somewhere along line, we fell asleep with our childhood dreams and awoke with the mindset of our parents; the hype of our deepest passions got crushed in the rubble of adulthood. As each day progresses, we find our thoughts wander to the what-ifs of chasing those old desires, but we stop them from unfolding, by telling ourselves all the reasons it wouldn’t work or that we’ll get around to it eventually. We put limits on what we are capable of.

Refresh Button Pt. 1: Creating a Strategic System to Reach My Long-Term Goals
After a conversation with Nico De Bruyn where he opened my eyes to all the amazing entrepreneurial opportunities in existence, I realized I needed to take a bit to really step back and strategically plan my next few ventures. Having my head in the weeds, while fun and rewarding, was starting to feel like a bit of a treadmill.

The Struggles of Post-Grad
In light of graduation season, I thought it'd be appropriate to write this post. The sole purpose of this, rather lengthy article, is to shed light to the unspoken realities of post-grad, and how many graduates face a rollercoaster of emotions in it. If you're reading this, thinking "not me, I'm fine," great! I urge you to send this article to someone who might be in this season now, struggling to find their way.
