"I Am"
"Ahum de LeeLa:" To be in God's light. From this, I was named. A simple four letter word, attached to my soul to ripple energy out into the universe. "Ahum de Leela," "Ahum de Leela," "Ahum de Leela." Repeated three times for the mind, the body, and the soul. Repeated throughout my life to remind me that I AM in God's light. (I have a confession to make, as a child, I hated my name, I insisted being called something different. I think that I was not ready to take on the energy that is attached to it.) It took me until college to grow into it and now embrace its meaning and powers.

The Day I Started Challenging Myself
I was diagnosed with exercise-induced asthma and outdoor allergies when I was seven years old. Needless to say, I’ve never been able to run. I was the kid who had a doctor's note because I wasn’t capable of running at all for gym class. Due to this, I assumed running would never be something I’d accomplish in my life. I had given up before I ever even began.

Into the Fray
Hello everyone. It’s been a while I know. For a handful of reasons, one being I changed phones and lost all my drafts. Not good. Secondly, I’ve had a severe case of writer's block and I have only just had a sudden spurt of creativity, so I’m acting upon it. Thirdly, I’ve been working my ass off, non stop, every week so it’s hard to fit in time to sit down and write. But here I am, and I have a feeling this is going to be a positive piece. An enjoyable read nonetheless but a happy one.

Walking My Talk with Grace
Wow! The lessons I have learned in the last two years have been big and real and just what I’ve asked for really. Not always fun but taking the bad with the good is just living. There have been some serious ugly-crying sessions, bouts with depression and some amazing and sparkling breakthroughes. I have come to know and accept myself more than I thought possible, and the ever-expanding gratitude for my life and capacity for love and joy is almost incomprehensible, until I experience it and reach for more!

Successful Goal Setting: 4 Secrets You Need to Know
Ambition is the strong desire to do or achieve something through determination and hard work. It’s in our mundane nature to hold high hopes in what we want most in life, but we seldom ever see anything cross the line from dream to reality by sitting back waiting, hoping, wishing. The fuel to ambition is action, and action is taken in the steps of goal setting.

Split Realities
"You were born into this world alone and you will die alone."—The Buddha The goal of enlightenment is to keep yourself vibrating at the highest level of love. I have been studying and practicing Ho'oponopono lately and it has propelled me into a blissful state of being. Basically, it's a mantra of "I Love You" all the time. Of course, there is much more than this, but this is the main concept. This vibration links you to the divine, and linked do I feel. I have been getting rockstar parking spots, free drinks at bars, and offers on projects. It seems as if my life is on track. I have finally stepped into my vortex, and life was unfolding just as it should. Yesterday, as I sat in a cabana, soaking in the sun, margarita in my hand, I thought, this is it. I am in my flow and life does not get better than this.

Creating Happy Waves
One of my most favorite quotes—“Why Just Float through Life When You Can Make Waves,” was my mantra when I was in my twenties, and it was my first written design. My business, Creating Happy has been the culmination of years of experience with my love and purpose as an artist and creator of Happy things. I felt like I was just ahead of the wave with Creating Happy when I set off on my artistic journey again in 2009. I was ready to jump on my reliable board when the time was right, and ride that wave to the dreamy, purposeful life I had imagined for soooooo long.

Celebrate Small Successes—Always!
I attended a street party in our street last weekend to celebrate the birthdays of three neighbours and it was a great excuse to get together. I met a guy at the party called Joe who was known by some other neighbours. Joe had taken a couple of hours off work to attend the party. We got talking, and it turns out that Joe had been working hard in setting up his first business. He’d spent months getting things just right for when the customers came pouring in.

The Other Side of Happy
I didn’t realize I was creating such a path for growth and understanding when I decided to name my business Creating Happy. I really try to live my life intentionally, and since Creating Happy was what I wanted to do for me and for you, there was just no other name that fit.
