Living an Extraordinary Life
Let me tell you a story before we talk about yours: {I promise it’s relevant ❤️} Once upon a time, there was a girl who was perceived to be perfect. She did as her parents and her teachers said because she learned early that she tended to get right where she wanted to be by making friends with the right people. As a child, the right people were always the adults in charge. She always had the right answer, or so it seemed. She wasn’t as perfect as she seemed, there was a porcelain mask covering what was really going on within herself. When she was little, she lied like a pro, and learned that it wasn’t wrong if you didn’t get caught; so, she decided to never get caught. She was terrified of fire and robbers... of things she couldn’t control. She didn’t always think nice thoughts, but all of this was hidden behind her mask because everyone expected her to be perfect. Or so it seemed. One day, something incredible happened to her and her life was changed forever, she found a purpose and meaning in her life and her lies turned to truth and her fear turned to courage. She went through a lot, that girl... through sadness and death of loved ones, through her only friends moving or falling away, she made new incredible friends and she found hope in the same thing that gave her courage. But still, life was hard... she fell in love in another country and spent a year with who she thought was the man of her dreams. He was so close to proposing to her and he even asked her a month before if she had any second thoughts, and even though she definitely did have second thoughts... she fell into her old habits from her childhood and told him what he wanted to hear. She lied, and said she had no doubts. A week before he proposed, she came clean and told him she wasn’t ready to get married. A few days later, the man she loved so much broke up with her. Her lies, despite good intentions, had caught up with her...

Becoming Your Biggest Fan
Be the audience of your own art. If no one else will, then why not you? In my life, I have supported a lot of different people. I will always root for someone who is going for their dream. Someone who creates art with ambition and believes in themselves. That's the type of person that I strive to be. Still, I understand that I have to believe in myself more than anyone. How else could anyone believe in me?

Restoration from Negativity
It never fails, in my case, that whenever I have a positive train of thought, something or someone tries to hit me with negativity of some form. Whether it’s a story of something negative a friend or family member has recently experienced, and that person just needs to vent. Or, something that I was hoping for, maybe even expecting to happen, doesn’t go the way I had planned. It’s like I’ve always heard from my elders, the devil always finds a way to rear his ugly head when you’re feeling good about something. As I get older, I know that concept is true from personal experiences and from hearing about the experiences of others feeling as I do. It's all a part of this priceless gift called life.

Failure Is an Experiment
There is no failure. There are only results. I got this concept from Dr. Wayne Dyer and I have used it in my life. As you read this, you will find ways that you can use it in yours. Can you think of a situation in which you thought that you failed? Did you grow up thinking of yourself as a failure? You might have had friends or family members who criticized you for failing? What if your idea of failing changed entirely? Imagine a life where failing is a good thing.

The Power of Small
Routinely, I rise out of bed before the birds, and watch the sunlight flood my office every morning. See, I love this time of day! But what I don't love is being rudely rousted out of a deep sleep before my normal rise and shine time, and every day for the past few months I have been.

How I Generate New Ideas
What makes the difference between a fantastic idea and a the greatest idea? Great ideas come along all of the time, and help people solve minor issues in work and everyday life. Terrific ideas appear somewhat less often, and need a bit more work to execute. Frequently they are unexpected moments of inspiration that help keep the napkin businesses in business. Ideas are a dime a dozen, but implementing them, and acting on them is the hardest part.
