Intuitive Empowerment

The Spirited Guide

By Jase RobinsonPublished 4 years ago 4 min read

Have you ever had a moment that you haven’t wanted to take responsibility for, but know deep down there is a lesson in the path that has been shown for you?

I had a moment like this on my daughter’s 2nd birthday last month. We were on holiday at a park, the sun was beaming, and the day was flowing great as they do on these great family trips. We had climbed the wooden park together showing our father daughter teamwork to the world. Once at the top we decided we would take the larger of the metal slides back down to the woodchip ground floor.

As my hand brushed the tunnel over the slide, I felt a warm metallic resonance, not the usual scolding hot metal that slides sometimes manage to achieve. As I felt this the first intuitive sign was presented to me in the form of a very friendly older boy, aged around 5. He was quite adamant that this slide was for ‘bigger kids’ and ‘she should be careful’ addressing my daughter. Admiring his compassion, I thanked him for his advice and ensured we would be extra careful, allowing him to use the slide first.

I continued to position myself and my daughter at the top of the slide and found myself immediately faced with the next intuitive sign as I glanced down the gleaming silver shaft. The sign came with the decision whether to put her on my lap or between my legs. This seemingly unassuming decision came with a feeling of being quite pre-eminent. Again, I decided to bypass this and continue with the everyday Dad act.

Now, I am a man who likes to allow for full experiences, especially when it comes to my children, I want them to feel the energy and take in all the sights, sounds and textures of a moment. So, with this in mind I decided to put her between my legs because it looked like quite a steep slide, and I wanted her to experience it fully.

We push off and the experience begins. We get near the bottom picking up speed with smiles beaming on our faces. Suddenly I feel a bump under my bum and our faces shift dramatically. Her shoe had stuck on the metal slide and caught under my leg in an awkward position. The weight of my leg on hers and the angle it caught at caused her to moan in agony. Knowing my daughter doesn’t make noises over nothing (she is quite a tough cookie) we decided to get to the hospital to later find out she had fractured her tibia under my leg.

It was a moment where, if I had listened to intuition and noticed the signs (something I continue to work on) then it may not have happened. I found this teaching a hard one to swallow but continue to try to understand it in awe and wonder. Later that day I was told to go for a walk by my partner. I did, and I sat for a moment. Unknowing how long I sat I found a level of forgiveness in myself and new insight into the events of the day when it spoke once again, this time listening intently it said to me that if it wasn’t this occurrence, it may have been something worse later in the day. The new reality that I was now in post the event began to make room for acceptance and balance as one of infinite worse events that could have been possible.

In summery this event gave my wild child the time to learn that sitting and creating is also just as fun as being constantly on the move. We now enjoy the best of both worlds with her. Thinking back these messages were clear as day, but sometimes forgiving yourself for not noticing them is the first step to creating a better connection to it.

The tool of intuition is a powerful one. To begin to understand its existence is a start. Noticing every time, you get that niggle you usually shrug off, take note, and do your best to act on those signs. And if you ignore it or miss it, don’t panic, it will try to correct your path.

A realisation of how intuition can guide you is an empowering moment, and whatever you call it whether it be intuition, sub conscious, higher power, source, or Shiva. Whichever translation resonates with your mind best, just know it ultimately knows you and holds your best interests, no matter how often you ignore it. The key is to hone the skill of knowing when it talks and allowing it to directly guide you to your purpose and best self!

Thank you for your time reading this. I hope it has had a positive impact on you and carries something you can take away with you in to your life practice. If you feel drawn to, or resonate with these words do pledge so I can continue to write and work towards guiding others on the more difficult shifts in their reality! Thanks again! :-D
