I Failed 7 Times Before I Finally Won: My Truth About Never Giving Up
From rock bottom to breakthrough—this is the journey they didn’t see coming

Narrative: I've failed more times than I'd like to acknowledge. Additionally, I've shed more tears than I'll ever admit. If you're reading this, though, it's because I've finally prevailed. And I want to tell you the truth, which is completely unvarnished and honest, without any filters or polish.
Chapter 1: "Not This Time" in The First Fall
I can still clearly recall my first failure. I was 22 years old, just out of college, and I was desperate to succeed. After applying for my ideal job, I confidently went to the interview and left feeling like I had aced it.
I failed to advance past the initial round.
They said, "Not this time."
Even though it hurt, I ignored it.
Chapter 2: "You're Not What We're Looking For"
Three weeks later, the second rejection occurred.
It was more difficult this time. I had spent the entire night preparing. My heart fell when the call arrived.
"Thank you for your interest, but..." I didn't even pay attention to the others. I wondered if I had what it took as I looked at my ceiling that night.
Third to Sixth Failures: "You Again?"
Every subsequent failure pierced deeper.
I missed opportunity after opportunity.
A startup that failed to secure funding.
Unpaid bills caused a freelance career to collapse.
Because I was "too obsessed with success," the relationship ended.
Hearing my own name started to bother me.
At one point, following my sixth failure, I gave up for three solid months.
It wasn't worth it anymore, I told myself.
I stayed away from others. ignored phone calls. Allow my fantasies to slowly decay in the back of my mind.
"The One That Broke Me" is the seventh failure.
This one was unique.
I gave my entire being to the business. I maxed up two credit cards, sold items I owned, and even took out a family loan.
It then failed. Hard.
After six months, I felt like the biggest letdown in the world, broke, and emotionally spent.
I recall whispering, "You're not good enough," while standing in front of the mirror and staring into my eyes.
"Just One More Try" is the pivotal moment.
Then, however, an odd event occurred.
A friend I hadn't spoken to in years sent me a message. "I still believe in you" was all that was written there.
That small spark was plenty.
I didn't experience a miracle or an unexpected breakthrough. However, I did pledge myself to "give it one more real try." Put your all into it. But be more clever this time.
I began modestly.
I returned to my passion: writing.
Initially, I wrote for free. I then wrote for modest sums of time. One of my stories was then shared, and 100,000 people read it.
That resulted in an invitation to a podcast. A sponsored column follows.
A mentorship program follows.
And lastly, a publication deal—an opportunity I had only ever dreamed of.
They Finally Said Yes" is the victory.
It was on the eighth try.
The one who made all the difference.
At last, they agreed.
To me.
To my tale.
To all the suffering and perseverance that went into it.
The Instruction
This narrative is for you if you're experiencing your third failure, fifth heartbreak, or seventh breakdown.
Since the reality is:
- Each "no" I got helped me be ready for the crucial "yes."
- The proper ones were made room for by everyone who left.
- Every setback that nearly shattered me helped to mold me.They don't tell you this, but sometimes one more try is all that separates winning from losing.
You don't need to be the most intelligent, wealthy, or gifted person.
All you need to do is be persistent.
Continue to show up.
Don't give up.
Because this could be your eighth time.
