The Root of My Self-Doubt
It started early. Growing up, I was a perfectionist in a household where achievement was praised more than effort. A “B” meant I hadn’t tried hard enough. I distanced myself from people who constantly criticized and drew closer to those who uplifted. Not cheerleaders who blindly agreed, but people who saw the potential I couldn’t always see in myself—and reminded me of it.
