Changing Realms: A Reflective Guide

Changing realms is an innate ability we all possess, though often unrealized. When we are caught up in the emotional moment perhaps feeling like we are in hell beset by conflict worry fears or desires how do we extract ourselves from these incredibly difficult and damaging mindsets that do long-term damage to our psychological health. To extract ourselves from the lower realms perhaps hell and transition between these realms to a higher realm perhaps compassionate or heavenly blissful, we must first be mindful of our current state, understanding that we have created the causes and through those causes we have navigated to the lower realms through cyclic thinking narratives worries that are all self-created due to the labels we attached to our experiences. We should understand that all realms are encompassed within the nature of consciousness and by comprehending this nature we can connect all realms in one conscious perspective, by doing this we are free to navigate between the realms and choose the experience’s is an quality of life we want to experience. As we evolve and understanding of this capacity we can develop a more subtle consciousness as we aspire and achieve existing in the higher realms.

The more subtle the realm we could say the higher it is, the more it comprehends and influences those below it. Higher realms, with their refined consciousness, master the lower realms.

To navigate realms, one must understand both one’s own potential and the potential of the realms and the nature of reality, that is how the mind functions and interacts with the realms through its perception and how to manage and guide that perception. Even those with subtle consciousness may not recognize their power to transform and transfer their awareness between realms. This understanding requires a experiential practice combined with the evolved view of reality and its emptiness. Those with a subtle mind remain unattached to lower realms, free from desire for worldly experiences therefore they may rove between the realms.

To achieve a subtle mind, we must understand the nature of the mind and experience its pure perception. The mind's pure perception acts to reduce the veils between realms. For instance, a pure perception of worldliness can lead to spiritual liberation, releasing us from worldly attachments. This control over perception can be gained through past life practices that express intuitively as spontaneous realizations in our waking or dreaming states. However, the purity of this perception is often corrupted by the accumulation of wrong views and mental conditioning and forgotten as we descend into lower realms.

Regaining pure perception is achievable through practice that brings stability of mindfulness and concentration together with accumulating right views through study of wisdom —be it through meditation, mindfulness, devotion, serving others, or dedication to an art form, philosophy, religion, or belief that cultivates calm and concentration. With practice, the mind can spontaneously experience all realms from an enlightened perspective, allowing us to choose or simply witness realms without engagement.

To visit realms, we must first understand the mind's potential and recognize our current realm. We must cultivate a subtle perception and intentionally navigate where our mind rests—in anger, peace, worldly views, or exalted states. This navigation requires a practice that creates a path, becoming familiar with it through faith, guidance, and consistent effort. The realms of existence are timeless and not bound by physical location; they are states of mind. All realms can appear on Earth, and our experiences within them are self-created, arising from the cause-and-effect nature of the mind.

The mind, empty and unlimited, creates realms according to our actions. Happiness and suffering exist in all realms, but their quality differs. In lower realms, happiness is momentary, while suffering in higher realms stems from not understanding the nature of bliss. An enlightened being experiences all realms simultaneously, untrapped and unlimited by time, space, or distance. They can appear in any realm, creating their existence within the field of all possibilities, revisiting past experiences with an enlightened view that brings joy and bliss.

To master realms, meditation is key. We must understand the mind's functions, witnessing its conditions and negative qualities to navigate towards better outcomes. True meditation allows us to sit in the nature of mind, realizing that cyclic thinking is a depressed state that can be released. Through concentration and calm abiding, we can receive true teachings, leading to enlightenment.

Those burdened by negative emotions like hate, remorse, or guilt are trapped in their ego, less capable of changing realms. Conversely, those filled with love, compassion, and understanding of interconnectedness reside in higher realms, comprehending the suffering of lower realms and experiencing joy through compassion. Mastering lower realms and evolving requires a conscious understanding of reality's scope and the nature of the mind.

In essence, the mind's pure perception and subtle consciousness are the keys to navigating realms. Through practice, understanding, and intentional navigation, we can unlock the mind's potential, experiencing the vastness of existence with clarity and enlightenment.

How to change realms

changing realms is not difficult to do in fact we do it all the time to change realms we need to be mindful of what realm where in of course all of the realms are encapsulated held in the nature of consciousness the more subtle the realm above the more it it opens the realms below and comprehends the experience and their essence the higher realms master the lower realms.

To change realms you have to understand their potential you have to understand the nature of the realms even those who have subtle consciousness do not realize they have the power to transform and transfer their consciousness between the realms to do this we must understand our potential and have an evolved view of reality and its emptiness those with the subtle mind do not get stuck on the lower realms because they have no attachment to them no desire for what is in those lower realms to gain a subtle mind we must understand the nature of mind and experience its pure perception the mind’s pure perception is the veils between the realms for example we might have a pure perception of worldliness and through that pure perception we will become spiritual people and be released from the worldly realm through our realization to gain this kind of control or freedom of perception to experience and rest in the nature of mind we could gain this experience from past life practices where it spontaneously happens either in our waking moments the day or the night in our dreams can happen in past lives we have all experienced a high level of pure perception but because we have fallen to the lower realms we are not that pure perception has been corrupted by the accumulation of wrong views and mental conditioning.

Actually it’s not hard to get that pure perception back all we need to do is have a practice it could be a meditation practice mindfulness practice or devotion practice it could come about through serving others through hardship or through dedication to an art form a philosophy of religion a belief or a practice that develops calm and concentration.

Now we have the understanding that it is possible for the mind to experience all of the realms sigh Montaigne spontaneously which is within a lightened or awakened perspective when we awaken this perspective we can choose the realm we want to visit or we can be in the realms from the level of pure perception where we see experience and witness everything without engaging particularly so we have the understanding that we can visit the realms we know that 1st of all we must be clear about understanding the potential of the mind knowing which realm we are in and knowing that we have the capacity to direct ourselves between the realms then we must know that we need that subtle perception now even those people who develop soft subtle perception may miss the point that they can control where their mind rests does it rest and anger doesn’t rest in peace does it rest in the the worldly view or does it rest in an exalted view these need to be navigated they don’t come without some kind of intention therefore we must have a practice that creates a path and we must become familiar with that practice and that path understanding what leads to the success of entering the path what stabilizes it on the path and aware that path leads we don’t need to have the experience shall knowledge of whether part path leads we just need to have the conceptual understanding that motivates us to proceed along the path for that we need some faith we need some guidance we need to follow the path either through teacher or through our inner teacher may be coming from past lives or some experience we had that motivates and gives us the capacity to be confident enough to become familiar and visit that path often it’s not something that can be embraced one moment and left behind that will not result in mastering that path or any path it must be embraced wholeheartedly or a least become a main intention that we revisit over and over again what are the realms of existence the realms are timeless they have no distance no geological or physical location the realms are the state of purity of mind of that spirit or individual that’s experiencing so having can be right here on Earth how can be here on Earth all of the realms can appear on Earth’s some of the realms we are engaged and we understand the effect but we do not understand the cause therefore we do not understand the nature why are we so lucky or unlucky why we say ritual so poor we think it comes from the realm itself but it doesn’t it comes from the cause-and-effect nature of mind and mind is empty of all the realms are self-created according to our cause-and-effect actions therefore they are not real because they are empty and yet they appear because we create them so all of the world is self-created our body the quality of our mind that we experience is self-created the nature of mind in the emptiness mind the pure perception of mind being of to see whatever comes before it is the nature what it sees on the quality of what it sees are self-created because the mind is unlimited and the realms exist everywhere they are either experienced now all experience together but they may appear to be experienced individually because we are clinging to certain experiences that keep us in certain realms we become concentrated in that realm for example if you hate somebody your energy is very concentrated on that hate and that hate will lead to various emotions some of them pleasant because it feels nice to be justified in one’s hate but generally they will be depressed emotions so all conditions exist in all realms so happiness exist in the hell realm but it’s not the happiness of the higher realm it’s a happiness of momentary release the happiness of feeling that we are released from our pain only for it to appear again so it this happiness assists the suffering comes together with so suffering also occurs in all the realms but in the higher realms it is not the same as the lower realms the suffering would be not understanding the nature of bliss although we experience bliss we don’t understand its nature that would be the higher realms suffering and enlightened being or a Buddha experiences all the realms together they are never trapped in any realm they see all the realms and all beings within those realms someone who is awakened and is mastered the mind can visit any realm and also is not limited by time space or distance so therefore they can use their subtle body to appear within any realm and any world and any universe within the multi-verse they create their own existence within the field of all possibilities for they revisit past experiences with the enlightened view which brings great joy and happiness bliss where they can see themselves and others and others in themselves.

To master these realms it is easiest to learn to meditate 1st we must understand how the mind functions we must witness the mind’s condition and negative qualities from this point we can navigate and towards better cause-and-effect outcomes and experiences of the mind through our practices but until we understand that the mind is sick we can never enter the path of self-determination and evolve to become a happier more enlightened being.

After developing what we call true meditation we sit in the nature of mind and experience it cyclic thinking is depressed state and we realize it is self-created we can let it go after this we develop the ability to truly meditate and develop concentration and calm abiding after this we can receive the teachings the true teachings and not the worldly path to happiness but they spiritual path that leads to emptiness and then through understanding and freedom from grasping at the realms this awakening then leads to enlightenment.

People who are full of hate or full of remorse or guilt or these negative emotional states that are self-created are in their own circle of ego and view that is depressed they are less capable of changing realms people who are happy for love love compassion and understand the importance and the interconnected nature of others there in a higher realm that comprehends the nature of the lower realm which is suffering therefore they have compassion and they get great joy from their compassion and feeling of oneness with others this is an example of the realms and what happens when you master the lower realms and evolve but you really do have to be conscious of the ability and that is all based on understanding the big picture the scope of reality having the clear profound expansive view that includes understanding the nature of mind it’s emptiness it’s pure view that the mind is essentially just for witnessing and we can from that witnessing we create our own path through the cosmos through cyclic existence being born undying reincarnated in the realms according to the condition of the mind and what we are attached over and over again in cyclic existence when we gain a more subtle mind we remember our journey through cyclic existence because the mind as it becomes rarefied it becomes subtle so it understands the nature of the more gross elements and experiences past life experiences and the potential of the mind and all minds the nature of mind the nature of reality.
