I saw you falling…

Helpless

I saw you burning…

Helpless

I saw you screaming, and nobody was able to hear you; you felt uncontrolled. Never thought when you were young it’d be you that’d be misunderstood. It’d be you that get laughed at. Never asked for that. When we were kids, we were in the midst of an apocalypse but only stared at the Sun.

It Was fun.

It was pure.

We were young.

We were always the best of ourselves.

Un- expelled the hatred, endangered, un- united, un- abided.

We were so excited for a world that was un- united and divided because we were fucking innocent!

IT WAS MAGNIFICENT. IT WAS LIKE YOUR MOM LOOKING

AT YOUR BABY BROTHER TO TELL HER ‘WE LOVE HER’

IT MUST HURT 2 SEE ANY OF THOSE GET TOLD BY THE

WORLD ‘YOU WONT WORK’. YOURE TOO SHORT.

YOURE TOO FAT. YOURE TOO DUMB. OOOOH NO WAIT,

SCRATCH THAT! YOURE HALF BLACK. ‘GO BACK!’

And that how you want the world to treat the people you love.

No, fuck that!

Don’t put up with that

You ain’t wack.

You’re fighting to make this world a better place. Standing up every day to show that your brave. It

It’s insane how the world wants to Shut You Down. It’s profound to let the people of this world think they can own you, let me show you;

How when you’re screaming and crying, and when you’re bleeding and dying and nobody can hear you, you gotta look within yourself cause no one else is gonna front you. They ain’t your mom or dad.

It’s fucking sad the way we treat each other till we’re damned. Getting tossed around like fucking dish rags and when we finally think for ourselves we get stabbed for being original. Being treated like criminals.

It’s so miserable to see you crumble an let this world take over. But I’m here to tell you that you got me looking over your shoulder!

I’m your homie from when we were kids but now we’re a little older from before, standing with attitude looking at the world like it’s ours, because it is! But let us keep those same values from when we were kids. Don’t get butt hurt from some one saying a joke but there’s also no reason to slam it down somebody’s throat. I get it we’re not remotes that can turn it on and off. It’s time to be the men and women that I know we can be. Fuck that shit we see on TV. CAN’T YOU SEE!?!?!?!?!

You. Got. This.

You and only you.

As you grow up you’re gonna understand the truth. You’re gonna start to learn the truth. You’re gonna see what’s wrong. But more importantly you’re gonna see what’s right. You’re gonna fight and stand up for others.

We’re brothers.

And sisters fighting and living with peace, standing up for what we believe.

It’s okay to be in control and its okay to be scared. It’s okay to fall behind. It’s okay to not get it right!

Because WE are brothers and sisters.

You ain’t nobody’s prisoner.

So when you’re standing in a daze and thee ain’t nobody looking your way THAT’S the moment that we get up and grind. And once we grind we can leave our darkness behind. Leave those moments when you feel alone. Take control and begin to take the thrown and show this world that WE are not alone!

We are not weak!

We are not dumb or fat!

The color of our skin does not mean we have to run.

You think ‘easy for you to say’

Then YOU’RE insane and you have given in to being weak, but I guarantee you it’s staying united that will keep us on our feet. Keeping us from defeat.

Do not let them TREAT you like this.

Because I am standing right behind you and WE.

Are going to fight this.
