Lost

Sonnet; To the One Who Saw Their Parents Fight

By Cristian Adolfo BarrioPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Twenty- five years lay before me, up in smoke.

Eight bewildering eyes proposed to make berth.

Bewildered by love and swindled by hope

And announcements performed on a cold earth.

While listening a dark form emerges,

And writing this wretched song makes me feel

Lonely and incredibly sad courage.

Strong faces displayed but inside I kneel

Inside me is broken and hurt and lost.

A disaster unfolded within me

Struggled between two parties. At what cost?

The cost of true happiness must flee.

Next forecast is rain embodying my soul.

Twenty- five year of life soiled in peril.
