PURPOSE
“The reason for which something is done, or created, or which something exists”.
That’s is one of the biggest questions we as people struggle with when they are ask by others, even hard when we ask ourselves that question.
Everything has a purpose these days. For example..... a car is built to take one from A to B. Cellphones are a way we connect with our friends and family, but with that it affects our real time simply because it distracts us from the moments, the beauty, and most importantly the connection with others that are right in front of us. So what is “purpose”? Take a step back and define the word “purpose” with some emotion. Personally define it, feel it, and digest it for what means to you and I bet the mean will change.
A lot of us are molded from a young age to live by the purpose of others because it’s safe, or familiar, and excepted by others.
And.....
Some live life by the seat of their pants not caring what happens.
I personally struggle with finding what I want and what I’m meant to do..... meaning, what am I here to do? Everyday I fight a losing battle in my head because I fight myself, my feelings, I always doubt myself...... LIKE ALL THE TIME, and I do things to please other to avoid conflict. That’s not “purpose” thats a image that others see on the outside but inside, that’s not me. How can I find my purpose when I can’t even be honest with myself?
Purpose isn’t just the reason for life, we focus to much on our purpose for the future, that we loose the sight of our purpose in the present.
There is only one person that knows our true purpose. Everyday that we get to wake up is because we have been given another chance..... because we have a purpose. Think simpler..... for example: ‘Marry, is struggling emotionally and is ready to give up; she is lonely and feels the weight of invisibility, she simply feels alone (not the cool invisibility) she goes out in public with the hope that someone will just bump in to her or look at her. Your at the same store and if you have manners you hold the door for the person behind you or coming out, and she happens to be the one behind you, or you even help her with her groceries and walk the cart back for her....... the simple compassion of actually giving a shit other then for our selves, that should be natural just showed her that people do see here, she is invisible. We create ripple effects everyday with every thing we do or with everyone we encounter. And marry drives away with that feeling of hope because you did something that is so simple. You showed compassion for others.
Purpose isn’t always about us, it can be about the light you shine on others and never noticed it.
So again I ask “what is your purpose” and truly be honest with yourselves. Never forget the simplistically of everyday things and actions that can have a everlasting effect on others. It’s up to you if it’s going to be a positive or a negative effect. Just remember though..... that compassion for others can mean light or darkness for someone else. So make a small part of your purpose everyday to simply effect a another. It’s up to you if it’s going to positively move someone or negatively hurt someone.
Now think for a minute....... now....”what is your definition of PURPOSE”
