covid and 19 minus 9 things i am grateful for
prompted by raymond and zigi

it was the morning that zigi and raymond were zoom guest presenters in my eco arts matter class at a local bay area community college. a course that was started 25 years ago by a concerned jewish artist who continues to teach it at 84 years of age in the pandemic times of covid-19 in the year 2020.
we were assigned to watch documentaries and one of them was about how bees are dying as corn syrup was ironically and tragically fed to them, the initiators of honey making and pollinators of this earthly world injecting into their systems poison what i call a freakin "royal queen bee treatment in 2020."
a week before election results will be known, we were treated to amazing artists who blew my mind away to forget for a moment about genetically modified objects being pushed to farmers of the times.
artivist singer, poet, town crier raymond prompted the class to write about "covid and 19 things i'm grateful for" but since we didn't have much time the 19 things became ten things i am grateful for and this is how mine went:
covid and 19 minus 9 things i am grateful for
1) i'm grateful and thankful for being a current student at an eco arts matter class because eco arts matters for this recent traumatic brain injury (tbi) survivor taking their first semester with double tbi lenses.
2) i'm grateful and thankful for zoom meeting with artists raymond and zigi as we celebrated raymond's mom, caffei turner, before black panthers was around, mrs caffei turner would educate black and other people of color folks that violence is not the way; and expecially during the final week of oktubre, which celebrates filipino-american history month in our former colonizer's world of stolen land.
3) i'm grateful and thankful for being able to teach a fellow tbi human beloved survivor being on how to float on water on his back: inhale deeply, exhale deeply.
4) i'm grateful and thankful for earth mother and her abundance that we may continue to be nourished and heal ourselves with organic foods and that we may continue to know where our foods come from organically
5) i'm grateful and thankful for my white kia full of soul transport pre-owned by a sister angel that takes this tbi survivor to medically necessary to survive appointments
6) i'm grateful and thankful for ninunong gamot, ancestral herbal medicines, that heals deep within traumas passed on from generations ago
7) i'm grateful and thankful for this journey of life and learning deeply that there is no ending as there is no beginning as the late elder grampa babe once shared
8) i'm grateful and thankful for sweet juicy nectar of love bestowed to me by my husband, a somatic holistic healer himself to treat himself from chronic conditions sustained as a child and how he shares his healing to heal others
9) i'm grateful and thankful for the cool pacific oceans waters that soothes my weary soul to awake!
10) i'm grateful and thankful for me, myself and i to be free! in this current times and i honor all of my ancestors, both the colonizers and the indigenous islanders and those unknown to me at this time; grampa babe this girl whom you named baby girl with a rainbow in her heart is blooming and growing. please call me r.a.d. short for a newly gifted spirit name, so i may be reminded of how radiant and radical life is and that it may inspire others and you to radiate your radness inside and out. peace and love.
