Blood Drop, Blood Suck

Where to contribute?

The nurse looking for my vein

Hi dear Visitors,

Sometime I wonder what I can do to contribute in the world. Leaving a legacy although one doesn't know my name, not knowing what it is I exactly do. Call it a respectable. With that I mean those with achievements because of their stardom, status in some kind of direction (e.g. royalty, aristocrat, politician, multinational et cetera) I am nothing like that. Just me. Just Funda. Doing her thing. Doing her best in which she thinks it is good for her soul. For the world or merely a handful of people.

It shouldn't matter really. I still can contribute. But with what? Sharing my story. Pondering, philosophizing, giving money where I can and/or BLOOD. Yes, I went all the way if it comes to bodily donation. I am a organ donor as well. Not my egg cells to be honest. That is one thing that comes too close to me and something I am personally not comfortable with. A someone walking in this world with my eggs having the chance to grow a baby in her womb carrying my genes. Unless I was dead. Take all the eggs you want!

But I suppose that is a whole different subject? No? Maybe I can cover that too. My thought on that subject that is. Also very curious how other people feel and think about that particular subject.

So curious how you contribute without it being your profession. I mean to say: how do you contribute outside your professional field? I suppose doctors, nurses, teachers, police, firemen/ women do also things beside that? Well, I think they already do so much that we need not to expect more of them. Already spending so much time from home and their families. They have a life too. One may know what I do for my livelihood. I am in housekeeping at a museum. It is not nearly an important job. Well, maybe it is? I have to keep stuff clean (and that includes museum artifacts). My dream job? Another story I'd like to cover in a different blog/vlog video. Back to the subject!

My eye fell on a post on Instagram this week. A local citizen decided to help the elders doing errands for them while they are forced to stay indoors during this pandemic. If I say errands think of picking up prescribed medications. She or he put an ad at a local store calling it Corona Pony Express. That made me giggle but at the same time touched. God knows what the person's work is outside being a local Corona Pony Express. Pony Express. You see how funny and joyous that reads/ sounds? Makes thinks so light in a world that is so stressed at this point.

What can I say except that we all need help. Need something. Seeking the best of life. Maintaining the (kind of) life we lead. Needless to say but, yes, there are people who want to keep a lifestyle that fits them. Very rhetoric but that needs money. It is an art to see what you have rather than what you don't have. You have yourself. Equally important in this world than only those “respectables”. They too bleed the same blood, they too get sick, they too poop and pee, they too get hurt, they too are mortal. Leaving a legacy need not to be grandeur. It need not to reach whole mass of people. I think it is enough those around you. Who know you know what you did and what you are leaving behind. And if you believe in a higher power than yourself than God knows what you did. You did godlike thing.

We are one! Love overcomes. Here my journey and experience.

Much love,

Funda
