Beware of the mental noise around you!

Remove it!

By The Breatharian BloggerPublished 4 years ago 3 min read

What exactly is mental cacophony? It is the persistent chattering of the mind that never ceases to be heard or felt. The propensity of the mind to think continually is referred to as arousal. Inner monologue, also known as internal monologue, is a continuous discussion that takes place in the mind's thoughts. An internal monologue that continually examines everything about your life, your surroundings, and the people you encounter is what I'm referring to. This voice in my brain simply keeps talking and talking and talking!

This internal monologue continues in everyone's head incessantly. Because it has become a deeply ingrained habit, you may always be aware of this mental noise, which is seen as a normal and inseparable part of everyday life. This mental noise is like a constant background noise that can be heard from the minute one wakes up in the morning till the moment one falls asleep at night, and it never stops. Most of the time, it even makes it difficult to fall asleep.

When do you become more conscious of your mental chatter and begin to find it disturbing? When you need to concentrate your thoughts on a certain task, such as studying, reading, problem-solving, or anything else that requires concentration. You become more conscious of the continual buzz and steady flow of unrelated, and sometimes useless or distracting, ideas during this period. This is the mental background noise.

That is OK if the ideas are good in nature. Too frequently, however, they are negative thoughts that exacerbate stress, anxiety, anger, or frustration by increasing the intensity of these emotions. These are the kinds of ideas that you simply do not need to be having.

Please, you did not misinterpret what I am saying. Thinking is a beneficial and necessary activity that is needed for a variety of tasks such as problem-solving, analyzing, comparing, learning, and planning. However, all too frequently, the mind is unable to concentrate and instead wanders aimlessly, diverting one's attention with small concerns and irrelevant, worthless thinking that wastes one's precious time and energy.

The ability to turn off the mind results in a condition of inner serenity. A condition of being inert, boring, and inactive is not what is meant by this term. The term "heightened awareness" refers to a condition of acute awareness, clear understanding, and a keen intellect.

All spiritual traditions and teachings have strived to achieve a condition of inner serenity in which there is no mental noise, and this has always been their goal. Spiritual searchers, as well as others who aspire to enhance their lives, should consider it very important.

Don't be concerned if you are unable to silence the chatter in your head. Your abilities would develop as a result of mental training. Sometimes, in rare instances, you may be able to enjoy a short moment of inner calm and quiet, free of mental commotion and distractions. In most cases, this occurs unintentionally when your attention is entirely engrossed in an engaging activity, when you see a gorgeous environment, or in other unusual circumstances. You may experience a brief glimpse of inner serenity during these periods.

Reading books will not help you to attain your goal of deliberately turning off your brain noise when you choose to do so. This talent develops gradually and over a period of time once the mind has been trained via concentration exercises and meditation techniques.

When it comes to concentration, individuals often claim that they meditate but that they are unable to relax their minds. The ability to concentrate is poor, and the mind frequently wanders from one idea to another, making it difficult to practice meditation.
