Author's Notes for Reflections To Light The Future

Some Behind The Scenes

Wow!

This was So Much Fun!

Here are a few of the Fun Things that went into this Piece!

I Write an Article Every Day.

I have done this for over 700 Days Straight Now, and will hit 2 Years Straight at the end of the month.

So I started this by going through "All" of my Articles I Wrote this Year.

These Articles act as "Literal" Mirrors and Reflections from the Day.

I noticed something looking at my Recent Articles.

Many of them "Felt" Dark.

So, how I started this piece was "Literally" how I was Feeling in the Moment.

I then went into a Reflection Exercise.

I was looking at the Darkness that has Surrounded Me this Year.

It was All Over the Place.

The List Kept Building.

But I "Wanted" this to be about Hope.

About the Light.

So, I looked at all the Bad, and I also Pulled Out some Events that Were Bad.

Things that I could have allowed to Impact Me Negatively.

But I take these Memories and I am Reframing them.

Accepting the Dark, but Looking for the Light.

Not Rejection, but Acceptance.

Then I looked at All the Good.

This year there were many things I am so Grateful For.

So many Lessons.

Things I had Forgotten Actually!

That is part of the Power of Writing "Every" Day.

It is easier to find the Memories.

I also did something that I thought was really fun.

I took Direct Quotes from the Mirrors.

"Reflecting" them into Today.

"Refracting" their Light to See New Things.

I also do some "Reflect-Ception" within some of these.

If you Read the Original Pieces, I do Not "Always" say exactly what Inspired It.

For Instance, "The Thing That Makes Me Most Sad In My Work" is a perfect Example.

I never mentioned the event that hit me really hard in the original.

But I reflected on the event within this piece.

The Sadness from that event still lingers with me today because I still "see" what is happening in that Group I reference.

It hasn't gotten better unfortunately as some Emails from that Group recently revealed to me.

They are still on a downward spiral, and I "See" that "Death" Spreading within the Organization.

It hurts, but I have no Power within their Organization.

I've "Tried" to Help, but have been Rejected.

Sometimes, the Only Path is the One Given.

I Hope the Best for them, but I do not "See" It.

I Honor and Respect them, but Must Proceed Forward.

Going back to this Reflection Piece, there is so much that goes into my Articles.

So much of my Emotions are Fueled into my Writing.

I want Good to Spread in the World.

I want Others to See the Light.

It is a Difficult Road though, because there "Is" So Much Darkness.

But it is Fascinating How Humans can Adapt.

Through Reflection, we can give New Meaning and Hope to the Future.

I really Hope that I was able to Portray some of that.

Perhaps the most Amazing Aspect of this Whole Exercise is the Result.

I have a Renewed Invigoration to Change the Future.

I do Light Reflections frequently, but perhaps I do Not do enough Deep Reflections like this Enough.

Truly, this year has been Incredible in what I have been able to Accomplish in a Fairly Short Period of Time.

I want to Go Forth and Create Larger Impact!

I want to Show Others that They Too Can Accomplish So Much!

The Truth is that I am Not Very Talented.

I have Few "True" Gifts.

Most of How Far I've Come has been Sheer Determination, Habits, Growth, and Hope.

Things that Anyone Can Have.

Things that Anyone Can Use to Succeed.

I leave on this.

You have "So" Much Light Within You.

Find It!

Yes, there is Darkness, but it is Forced to Dance by the Light.

Appreciate the Dance, but Follow The Light.

"Yes, there is Darkness, but it is Forced to Dance by the Light. Appreciate the Dance, but Follow The Light." These lines were soooo deep!
