AN INTANGIBLE POSSESSION
ACCESSING THE IMMATERIAL: TRUE WEALTH

In the world of today, one of the most prevailing societal epidemic is inadequacy in the education of the poor. We live in a world where no one speaks about real money, but wants to make it. This has nothing to do with academics, but the enlightening and sensitization of the poor – so as to erase the unethical, unbiblical, and poor mentality we have been subjected to in the past years and which, by no fault of ours, we are born into.
Poverty is simply the absence of value: the absence of wealth and abundance. It is a state that is capable of forming an experience in our lives. And in this context, the word ‘Poor’ is not related to the absence of money. Instead, it has to do with the state of the mind: people’s poor mentality and the absence of value. Being poor is as a result of not having the right knowledge of value.
So what makes people poor?
It has been proven that the difference between the rich and the poor is information, the presence of value, and the ability to reach people. The absence of the right knowledge or lack of understanding subjects us to poverty while the right information and its effective usage subjects money to the wealthy; to stand out, we need to have understanding and knowledge; those who know the rule are the ones who rule over those who do not.
By chance and culture, more than 90% of Nigerians are born into poverty; not by their will. This set of people called poor, needs an effective platform for a systematic change of mentality or a restructure of mindset, thereby unleashing their potentials to produce value.
Absence of money does not make people poor, but the absence of value: the immaterial and intangible wealth is what makes people poor. Real money is value; true wealth is intangible.

Let’s dive into how to locate true wealth.
First and foremost, we need to understand that true wealth is not the paper money, but value. It is a productive value. And there’s a need to understand how to build wealth because we don’t make it. And the following are the ways to build wealth:
- Understanding that we have an in-built monetary system in us that can produce value. We have ideas that can change the world. Ideas that flows from our thoughts and as a result of consuming the right information.
- Identifying and maximizing opportunities. Opportunities provides us the platform to explore our ideas and bring our thoughts into reality.
- And through products and services rendered to people.
- A ready to learn attitude. An individual who is not ready to learn is not ready to grow. And learning comes in three ways: Reading of books that speaks on financial success and how to build wealth, locating the right platforms that builds and teaches individuals on how to effectively manage wealth, and learning under someone which is known as mentorship. Mentorship is all about accepting perfect knowledge from an imperfect man. It is a platform that unlocks greatness.
Since we now understand that real money is a productive value, we also need to know that what we don’t desire, we can’t have it. The only thing that would enhance consistency in the system to build wealth and learn how to do so, is by desiring to have it because building wealth is a journey.
