A THOUGHT HUNTER
The power of creation is thrilling and yet silly. How many ideas could have turned us into millionaires have been discharged from our minds because it didn't pass our trial? Are we really that good to judge with our's limited beliefs system?... Often the fixation on finding the most perfect idea leads to self-sabotage and destructive pattern. Ideas are not fuckboys.
The creatives depend on the ability to recognise outstanding ideas amongst the good ones, all coming from the same train of thoughts, continually travelling through the white noise in our heads. It is up to the creative mind to pay more attention to silently popping ideas in our mind; we stumble through them, and with a torch in our hand, we try to catch a glimpse of the definitive one! There is nothing better than being able to discover a good source and its potential; even so, we are usually not able to grasp what we have found, buried in a pile of good ideas. Once found, we observe the image; we follow its flow until we finally get its essence. It is like lightening a dark place when we finally see the room into which we have stumbled. Thoughts turn into ideas. Thoughts then turn again into thoughts until we can declare it's an idea....it's a cycle, a chain of creative reaction or self-sabotage. We live in a world were thoughts run after one another. Ideas that keep inspiring new ideas, there are no limits to creativity. It's like a wagon of unlimited potential that could burst into everything or into nothingness. In these moments, we judge a newborn idea of how seriously should be considered and endured. The power of creation is thrilling and yet silly. How many ideas could have turned us into millionaires have been discharged from our minds because it didn't pass our trial? Are we really that good to judge with our's limited beliefs system? This is our fear-based thinking that is trying to protect our ego. Instead, we use the ideas we already have and invest our trust in ourselves. It's a process that requires self-respect, trust and confidence.
Maybe we should have given a chance to all those ideas that we said pass to like its tinder app? Treating our ideas like they are fuckboys who try to use us. Besides, you can't get hurt from creativity ;). In judging an idea, we must change our perspective when creating something as creatives and trying not to be too harsh or quick to judge. It's okay to have mediocre ideas. It's part of the process! Don't panic if you see yourself having a creative block. You should just do whatever you thought about. It's vital to keep going even if you re not really satisfied with the outcome. It means you trust the process by doing this. None made a masterpiece without experimenting and practice. Every sketchbook is spontaneous, filled with drafts and doodles. That's what creativity is about, playfulness. Trying to have a perfect idea with no filled sketchbook is a very pretentious approach that leads to hardship and disappointment.
As you can see, generating ideas has a lot to do with our state of mind. Often the fixation on finding the most perfect idea leads to self-sabotage and destructive pattern. Ideas are not fuckboys. It can't hurt you. I know creative blocks are real and very challenging process. However, if you keep continuing declining your own ideas, thinking "it's not good enough", - In the end, you keep saying pass to 'yourself' instead to really take a leap of faith in YOURSELF. Try to see what you have to portray or express. There is a reason why you thought about it. Maybe that particular idea is exactly what you need to work on because it will lead eventually to a better one. Trust the journey and surrender to your creativity. You will be surprised! The more you do it, the better you will be at it. Trusting and loving yourself, It's the best investment you can make.
