A tale of healing and hope

A story of hope

Our gifts often find us in interesting situations, and sometimes it gets hard to determine where the lines get drawn in the sand. I faced such a case one night when my daughter spiked a high fever, and I found myself terrified that something was going to happen to her. I immediately called the healer that I had been working with while bracing myself for the ultimate trip to the emergency room.

The healer spoke in a soothing voice and calmed my anxiety. She told me that I would be able to heal my daughter and that together we would channel the heaven energy by asking the angels for help. There was a part of me that didn’t believe what she was saying, and there was a part of me that did. I knew that I had to take the risk. She asked me for 5 minutes, and it would take longer than that to get her to the ER.

I shook my head in acknowledgment. The tears had threatened to escape my lips. “Be brave,” I told myself as I stood by her weakened body. The thermometer read 102.5. Growing fear filled my heart as the healer began to say her prayer and call upon the angels for help. She told me, “Rest your hand on her head and allow the energy to flow through you into her,” I followed her instructions, and the heat from my head burned at my fingers. I remained still, unwavering and determined to help her.

The healer continued to speak and told me to visualize the heaven energy flowing from above, down through my arm, and into her body. “With intention, see her fever falling,” I did as was instructed and felt the energy move through my body and into hers.

Her body cooled as for a moment I couldn’t believe what was happening. “Have faith,” the healer chimed, and I brought myself back to focus. For two minutes, we stood there pushing energy into my daughter, and I could feel her cooling down. She drifted to sleep, and when I moved my fingers from her forehead, I reached for the thermometer to take her temperature. 100.3. “It dropped to 100.3!” I screamed into the phone.

“Good. Let her rest, and the energy will do the rest,” the healer said before ending our call.

I stood there dumbfounded. I hadn’t wholly believed the proof yet was there, and it was so undeniable. She had been healed. Within two hours, her fever had broken entirely, and she was up and about as though nothing had ever happened.

The proof that there are things in this world outside of explanation resounded in me so powerfully that day that I knew I would never be the same. I was going to become a healer because I was meant to help people. That was an undeniable truth that I couldn’t see until that moment. Had I healed her, or was it something else that used me as a vessel? I believe it was the latter.

I believe that I was used as a vessel to restore health to my daughter and that by having a kernel of faith, I was able to drive down her fever and save her.

Now, when I help people, I know that it isn’t me that is doing the work. I am channeling the energy from a greater power. I am channeling the energy from the source of all the is good and that our creator has deemed so. There is a comfort in knowing that I can help people because of grace and that my precious child was saved.
