A Moment of Calm at the Farm with a drowning wasp !

I saw a drowning wasp, so if it stung you once, just know that karma saw it. Okay? Okay! Musings, pictures and happy days. Yes the real type of content that AI did not create.

A pig slept on warm hay, as if the world stood no chance against its slumber. Its back was turned towards me. His safety was never questioned. But who am I, and should I ever be trusted? It doesn’t matter because that pig had a safe home and would never be evicted. Eaten, but never evicted.

There are times when we focus on the wrong things. Like the fence that is keeping us away from the calm waters of life. Like ducks we must swim slowly under the sound of the water flowing from a fountain nearby. It’s not just for decoration, the call is as clear as the water runs.

A failed attempt, at taking a picture of what was beyond the fence 🀣

If life was a square would you plant around it?

Would you put your feet inside, say there was no healthy soil and help the world come to ruin…

Or would you think only about the clothes on your skeleton bed. The ones you took from your closet, paying with every bread.

If I had never visited a farm, I would not have known the ways of the butterfly. Even how to land on the ground of a fruitful apple tree. Never having to think about whether my days would be long or short.

Depression once told me, that I was easy to get. But I decided to become blue with purple core and green legged stems.

To wallow in the heat or make friends with the mud?

At least I will still glisten in the sun with fleas.

Maybe just for today, the wallow will be in your blood.

So it’s okay friend, to wallow sometimes with the bed undone.

Don’t be shy like this lonely pigeon on the roof.

Don’t look down on yourself, as if everyone is better than you.

Your feathers are just as pretty as the others.

But if you never fly, you will not know that to be true.

So spread your wings friendly pigeon. Confidence is only a stretch of your wing.

It’s not so much about flying, you see.

It’s just about the opening of your beak

That you choose to stand

Even in the sweltering heat.

Would you like to walk a dappled path my friend. Come with me hop on and hold on tight!

Yes the sun and the leaves are casting

Ghost flowers indeed

If you step to your right

The goats you will meet

Gosh darn it, I forgot to take a picture of the goats.

Two British men caught my ear with their accents.

Can you blame me?

A/N: Thank you to everyone who have been here from the start. Being as poor as I am, I could never give you all monetary rewards, but…

Ding. Ding. Ding. I can write for your soul instead, inbetween all my other projects. If it wasn’t for you all, I would never be able to get out of my shell. Or even to tell you that I saw a drowning wasp.

Again, I forgot to take a picture and I forgot to film it. The shock got to me okay. 😭😭😭

I’ve grown as a writer, because of you. And I will go on to gain success, because of you!

thank you so much for reading. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ€—β™₯️

Congrats on Top Story! When I used to visit my nieces at their pool, I would save the frogs stuck under the top lip and scoop out bugs floating, those that obviously couldn't get out on their own. hahaha the British accents made you forget to the photo the goats. Nice work.

  • This felt like a warm, poetic hug from nature β€” messy, real, and full of heart. Loved the wasp moment and your honesty throughout. Keep writing, Caitlin!

  • But if you never fly, you will not know that to be true.-- I love this. If we do not try something new, we will never know if it really works. Hooray for calculated risks!
