All my friends from the 90s how have you been? I know many of you are busy taking care of and raising your Gen Alpha babies. Few of you are settled abroad leading a successful professional life. Few are single like me and still not really ready to settle down.

But my question is seeking a bit more elaborate answer from you. I want to know how you are coping inside with so many transitions happening in your life, and how are you absorbing life’s new challenges - personal, professional, technological, educational, emotional, and anything else which we never thought of in our childhood.

Have you been able to discover yourself? Have you achieved what you always wanted? Have you found your happiness yet?

I know I am asking a lot of questions but the reason I am doing so is that we are at or near a very scary age which is 30. I know age is just a number and I honestly don’t relate to the memes made for the 30s (back pain, hair fall, etc).

But I guess I am still vulnerable in my life (which might not be true for you), why? the answer is simple - I feel after being born in the 90s made me a less risk taker in life, I feel I am stuck between whether I should think of short-term achievements or long-term benefits. I am sometimes so confused about whether I should take a career break and discover myself or I should just continue with my so-called 9-5 job.

Should I still ask for financial support from my parents for a business or higher studies or use my savings to try to do something new or somehow keep my wishes to myself and save for my future.

I feel scared that the millennials will mock me saying that I was a fool to take such stupid steps at this age when I should have been leading my life like a billionaire.

Do you also feel this way? Do you also feel that the millennials will never understand the struggles we went through to reach where we are?

The cheap internet which has changed everything today to get info, learn skills, and get quick fame was like a fairy tale.

The lack of guidance from our elders as they themselves were ignorant of so many areas because of the limited scope of acquiring information had left us with limited options as well and we all followed the herd because we knew that at least it had an assured outcome.

After the cheap internet revolution in India, we were already sailing a boat and were at a stage where we could neither return back nor change the direction of it and ever since we have been sailing in the ocean. The funny part is that our ship has been upgraded with the latest technologies and all the passengers are well informed now but they are in a dilemma whether to change the course of the journey and set the pedals in an unexplored route or continue with the same direction with the old map inherited from their old generation.

Now that I think of all these things and the vulnerabilities of our generation. I believe that we should have the guts to give one chance to our lives, it's not too late to discover your happy place and we have just one attempt to play this blind game so it's all in for us.

But trust me if we don’t do it now we will never be able to find satisfaction in our life that we did something that we’ve longed for and for once not following the herd and listening to our heart.

Are you ready to join me in this dare game?
