On January 3, 2022 my boyfriend will be going to Japan on a work trip for about 4 months. As difficult as I know it will be, I have decided to take this opportunity to really focus on myself and grow as a person. I will have limited distractions and I will truly be able to work on my growth without worrying about how he’s doing or actively putting his needs ahead of my own. I will be able to put myself first and have a true “glow up”. This is my way of not being sad that he will be gone but excited about how things will be when he comes back.

This 4 month glow up is going to be focused on 5 main categories. Mind, Body, Relationships, Career and House. My main goal of this glow up/challenge/whatever you want to call it, is to really be the best version of me yet. Not for my boyfriend, but for me. I want to prove to myself that I can accomplish the goals I set for myself. I’m going to break down the things I will be focusing on in each category as well as my goals for each category.

Mind:

Limit social media to 15-20 minutes per day

Screen time on phone - 1 hr or less

Journal everyday

Meditate 5+ minutes a day

Read at least 10 Pages per day

Phone down daily at 6:30 pm

Set up each day the night before

Stay focused on goals

Body:

No caffeine

Anti-Inflammatory diet

No alcohol

Complete 75 Hard

Complete skincare routine daily

Learn more makeup looks

No eating out 6 days a week

Bed by 9 pm

Awake by 4 am (on weekdays, 6:30 am on weekends)

Meal prep every week

Career:

$1.80 method

Post daily on IG

Post daily on FB

Use planner

House:

Declutter each room in the house

Organize each room in the house

Hang up things that need to be

Pain the bathroom

Sell unneeded things

Relationships:

Check in with 1 friend or family member per day

Write thank you notes

Spend quality time with mom every week (when possible)

I’m going to be making a spread for all of these tasks in my bullet journal to be able to keep track of my progress and what I am doing. Plus this way I am more easily able to keep track of my goals.

Mind:

Have weekly screen time be under an hour

Start healing inner child trauma

Be able to meditate for 30 minutes

Have a better mood on a daily/weekly basis

Body:

Complete 75 Hard

Have more energy

Clear up acne

Lose weight

Consistently wake up on time

Relationships:

Have deeper relationships with loved ones

Career:

Start making $200+ per month selling products

House:

Have a minimalist approach to living

Have every room organized

These are all things that I’ve always said I would work on and I’ve always said I would do but I just let it slip through the cracks. I have always been the person that talks the talk and doesn’t walk the walk.

My point of posting this on here is that I want accountability. I want to have something I’m supposed to be doing every week to prove that I am in fact completing the tasks I say I will. So, I will be posting every week. I will be writing my progress out and showing that I am completing what I am supposed to.

If you feel like you want to have a glow up, join me! Make the challenge be something that works for you, but make it challenging so you really feel like you’re making a difference in your life. Do hard things! I’m so excited to try this out and I can’t wait to see how I feel at the end of this! My first week is January 1-January 7.
