10 Signs You're More Than Just Average
It's easy to feel like you're not as good, successful, or smart as others.
It's easy to feel like you're not as good, successful, or smart as others. But the truth is that we all have our talents, even if we don't see them at first. It's just a matter of finding out what they are. In this article, you'll learn how to decipher what you're good at and be happier for it.
When you think about it, there are so many different ways that we all express ourselves and what we're good at. So many people who just give up because they believe they can't ever be as good as other people. But that's why you need to look at yourself differently than others do, so you can truly appreciate your talents and the things that make you unique. Here are 10 signs that you're more than average:
1. You e-mail a lot of people back.
This could be a sign that you hate to take risks. If you get into a business and make 100 sales, that's great. But if you play it safe and only ever make 20 sales, then you're not going to be as happy as if you tried something new. Or it could be an ego thing. You realize that if people see that your e-mails are always positive, they'll start sending them back because they want the same kind of treatment from you. Either way, this is technically a talent but one that many people just don't have.
2. You believe in yourself.
Yes, it's true that a lot of people say that you need confidence to achieve the things you want to achieve. But the truth is that not everyone has it, and if you do, then that makes your life a lot easier since you don't have to worry about failing or getting turned down. It's definitely one of those talents that many people don't have and don't even realize until they actually see someone with it in action.
3. You're always upbeat.
In a world where everyone is complaining about what they don't have and how bad their lives are, you never let it get to you any longer. You know that you can always find a way to get around any obstacle and do what you need to do. You might have been through a rough time but you come out of it with one big lesson learned. That's why you're always positive, even if things don't go your way.
4. You're good at analyzing people.
You can read people quite easily and know just where they are coming from by listening to what they have to say or by observing their body language in general. Sometimes you can tell just what they're going to say before they even say it. That's why you have such a good relationship with so many people or why you're able to get your way with them. You just know how they like to be talked to.
5. You don't give up easily.
If you want something, then you will find a way to get it one way or another, no matter what the cost. You like that challenge and crave it because that's what keeps things interesting for you and keeps your life exciting all the time. Life can be boring if everything comes easy, but not when things are a little challenging here and there.
6. You're always positive in life.
Even if you're having a bad day, you still find something nice to say and be grateful for. Isn't that a great talent? We all have our ups and downs, but how often do you see people who can say something nice about just about anyone or anything they get to know? That's what makes you special and one of the happiest people around.
7. You like to listen.
Some people just don't like to talk that much, but they do love to listen. They'd rather listen than talk because it gives them time to think and learn more about others without seeming like they're being nosy or rude about it. It's a great talent to have, but it's one of those that you don't believe in yourself for having. You just have it and use it whenever necessary.
8. You're better at sports than people expect you to be.
It doesn't matter if you're good at all sports or there's only one sport, but in the end of the day, what matters is that you're good at something and your confidence comes along with that, whether you want it or not. No matter what sport it is, there are always going to be people who are better than you and those who are worse than you. You just happen to be one of those who are better than most.
9. You can handle any job.
When people need help, they come to you because they know that you're pretty much willing to do anything to keep them happy and satisfied with the work that you do for them. If you say that you're good at something, then people will believe it because they see how dedicated you are when it comes to a job. Even if it's not your favorite thing in the world, you still find a way to make it work and make a living out of it. That's amazing.
10. You don't need too many people in your life all at once.
Having friends or even those kinds of people in your life is always nice, but it can be a lot for you to handle sometimes. You know that it's best to keep a few of them around, because you're never going to get all of them. To get some out of the way, and then have the rest at your disposal when you need them, that's right up your alley. That's why you're lucky enough to have so many people in your life who are willing to stick with you through thick and thin.
In Conclusion
You may have confessed to yourself that you have a talent that the world doesn't see, but you don't have to believe that it's a good thing because it isn't! The world is full of people who only see what they want to see and then beat themselves up for it.
If you told your friends and coworkers what your talent is, then most of them would probably laugh at you if they don't do it themselves. I really wish I was more like all these people mentioned above. Maybe one day I'll figure out how to be one of those individuals who are more talented than most.
