I don't know about you, but I think working from home with a little one can sometimes be a bit challenging. There are so many things you have to remember, and it can just seem like the constant noise that follows them around is never going to end! It's no wonder that some people just want to work in an office or work out of their home for the convenience!

In this blog post, I am going to share 10 quick tips for making working from home with little ones as easy as possible. These tips could help make your working life much easier so you're less stressed and more productive in the future.

1. Get Organized

Working from home with little ones can be quite stressful if you're trying to keep up with them, work, and clean up all at the same time. When I was working from home back when my son was an infant and young toddler, I found that one of my best hacks for staying organized was to get myself a desk calendar.

This meant that I could see all of the different tasks that were coming up each day and prioritize what I needed to do each day! It's a simple solution, but it has definitely helped me as a blogger stay on top of what needs to happen next each day!

2. Have a Dedicated Working Space

If you're working from home with little ones, it's vital that you have a dedicated space where you can work. This means that when you are working, you are completely free of distractions.

In order to make sure this is possible, I would recommend creating an area where your little ones won't be able to get into.

This could mean setting up a little area for your laptop in the kitchen or investing in some good white noise machines. You want to make sure that you can concentrate on working without being distracted at all.

3. Set Up Dedicated Work Hours

Working from home can sometimes be more difficult than working out of an office because there's no limit on your work hours. If you want to make sure you can be productive each day, it is important to set aside designated working hours.

For example, maybe you want to set aside certain times of the day when you're able to focus on your work and not worry about anything else going on. It can be nice getting into a routine that encourages you to work each day.

4. Take Breaks

Working from home with little ones can be tiring, and it's important that you take some time out for yourself each day. If you don't, I think it can be easy to burn out and become demotivated.

For me personally, I found that taking a 15-minute break every hour was a great way to reset my mind. This meant that when I came back to work after my break, I was ready to go once more. Not only do breaks help you remain productive throughout the day, but they could also help inspire you to work harder than before.

5. Set Limits on Email and Social Media

While it is important to be available to clients and customers, it can be easy to spend your whole day responding to emails and checking social media. Although I am a big fan of social media, I have noticed that sometimes I am wasting time just browsing my feeds when I could be spending that time working on what matters.

When you are working from home with little ones, it can be best not to check emails or social media until the end of the day. This way, you are less likely to spend too much time on them during the day and can focus more on your work.

6. Get To Work.

You will be much better able to get work done when you have a dedicated space where you can work. I would recommend making sure that there is no distraction at all when you are working from home and that your entire family is not in the same room as you are.

You want to make sure that there's no chance of any distractions. From time to time, I like to switch rooms for my breaks. This works for me because these times are completely quiet and allows me to get the most amount of work done in these short periods.

7. Create Deadlines

If you're like me and love to work, it can be easy to move things around and never get them done. Sometimes, it's important to set yourself deadlines so that you are forced to move your work forward! This could be by creating a schedule for each day that shows when you need to finish tasks and what needs to be done as well as setting a range of deadlines for each task. It's also great if you can do this with friends or family members so that they can keep you on track!

8. Work When You're Most Productive

Although everyone is different, I did notice that my most productive time of the day was in the morning before lunch and at night before dinner. This means that I would work best in the morning, and then I would get up in the middle of the night to get a bit more done. If you're like me, this could be a good tip for you because it means you can make sure that you are getting your most productive time each day.

9. Use Trackers

It's important to have some sort of tool that helps you manage your time. For example, if my little ones were at home when I was working, I used to use an app called RescueTime to help keep track of how much time I was spending on different areas of my life (including work).

This made it easy for me to see how much time I was spending on different tasks and adjust my schedule accordingly. It's also important that you keep track of your hours and the number of hours you've worked each day so that you can stay on top of how much work you've been doing!

10. Be Honest With Yourself

A lot of people want to work from home with little ones because they want to be able to spend more time with their kids. Although this is a good motive for working from home, it can be easy to get caught up in the idea of spending more time with your kids and lose sight of your work.

It's important to recognize when you are being honest with yourself about why you want to do something, and it's also important to recognize when you are being honest with yourself about whether you will actually be able to do something.

This could be a good way to gauge whether or not you will truly be able to work at home.

In Conclusion

If you are thinking of working from home with your little ones, it's important that you take the time to plan everything out before you begin. By creating a schedule, setting aside dedicated work hours, creating deadlines and more, I found that it was easier to work from home than I expected.
