The Meals and Foods That Helped Me Lose the Weight.
On a keto/ketovore diet (and some other tips that helped me)

I have been battling the bulge all my (adult) life. From the time I moved out on my own and was now in control of what I was eating. While I had my children, I was a gestational surrogate, grieving my late partner and through COVID. I have tried many different things, but nothing has worked for me to lose weight until I tried a different mind shift and a different way of eating.
The main point in weight loss is simple. Break it down to the basics and science. You need to be in a calorie deficit. Now figuring out your deficit is where it becomes more complicated. There is a common calculation but that isn't a one size fits all. I am not trained in getting into the nitty-gritty details but if you Google "TDEE Calculator" and input your information into one, it will give you an idea of where to start.
I found the keto/ketovore/carnivore diet while I was vegan. ( I looked into it after my boyfriend told me about his journey on a similar way of eating) I found eating high fat, moderate protein, and very low carbs, helped with the food noise I had always experienced. It kept me fuller for longer, I implemented intermittent fasting and the weight dropped off effortlessly. Time went by so quickly and I was losing weight FAST.
Now...I am not saying this way of eating is the be-all to end-all. It isn't the only way to lose weight. It just worked for me, so I could stay in a "Calorie Deficit" which despite what the keto/carnivore community says, if you are trying to lose fat/weight, it does matter. Which I am finding near my goal weight. I guess I should move on to the main topic of this post...
Here are the foods that kept me on track.
Cracked Chicken
Power Bowls
Carnivore chicken strips
(Cheese) Burger (Bacon) Patties
Carnivore Pizza
Pickles
Bagged Salads
Any type of meat
Seafood/Shrimp
Eggs
All the Cheeses
Protein Coffee
Heavy Whipping Cream (in my Coffee)
Greek Yogurt (Ranch dip, Protein Pudding...)
I will include some of these recipes as well... Cracked Chicken.
Carnivore Power Bowls: Are Simply Beef Bacon Butter Eggs. Typically served combined in a bowl. Browned Ground Beef, Scrambled Eggs, Oven Fried Bacon... Here is a WIEID ft power Bowl.
Carnivore Chicken Strips/Fried Chicken. : Using your favourite type/cut of chicken (breast strips, thighs, boneless thighs etc) dip in an egg wash, then cover in a mixture of parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. (If you are dairy free - crushed pork rinds work, or use can use unflavored protein powder - I haven't tried this one though) ( I never made a video of this but I hope to soon)
Finding Carnivores/Keto/Ketovores on YT or TT has helped me immensely, with not getting bored. I have found so many great recipes from them. People such as Laura Spath, Neisha, Dr Ken Berry, The Keto Twins, Courtney Luna, Steak and Butter Gal and so many others...
If you are not into recipes, you can keep it simple by just eating meat (The LionDiet is the strictest) Slow cook a pot roast, fry up a steak, roast a chicken... Fried Eggs, Hard Boiled eggs, and Avocado are something I like to have occasionally.
To be honest, my main food I had a lot is Cracked Chicken... It was to the point where my kids said "Cracked Chicken again?" It is truly delicious and so filling. Also, Bacon is LIFE, who doesn't like bacon? (turkey bacon included)
Thank you for sticking around while I share this with you. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments.
