Midst of COVID-19
The very thought of the corona virus epidemic consuming all of humanity is terrifying, and I understand that all this precaution is necessary but I cannot believe how greatly this illness is affecting the world. There is still a large percentage of the world that is suffering with COVID-19, so, at all cost, society must take all sorts of measures towards those who are vulnerable towards this disease. The pattern of deaths from this illness became noticeable with elderly people and people who already have health problems prior. Many events, churches, and schools are cancelled for the benefit of our safety, yet this change is not easy for many people. Stores are closing and the government advises people to stay at home for we are in a public health emergency. Various of families need to take extra support when child care is not available and kids need to learn from home. Multiple of people are becoming laid off from their jobs and having a hard time financially, which brings even greater tension towards our community. But, I believe that there is still so much positive aspects in this situation people would notice.

Grandma's COVID-19 S.O.S
S.O.S. (Save Our Seniors): COVID-19 can kill my mom without ever getting into her body. It can starve her. There's a plan to save her and a whole lot of seniors and others struggling to get food plus supplies while housebound and/or self-quarantined. The issue is that the plan isn't gaining attention fast enough. Let's change that right now.

being a key worker
There has been a list given of people known as key workers during the corona virus. Some have complained its too long, I think it just shows how many people are key to keep the country going. I am a carer at a care community for adults with additional needs and learning delays. I will be working until either this ends or I get ill from it. I am not the only one by a very long way .

DAY 4: COVID-19 BY MY LONESOME
DAY 4 I had no idea what day it was today. Ugh. I had to ask a coworker. I suppose I could have just looked at my phone since it's always in my hand. So in that sense, it feels like a vacation, except it's not. Dang, just realized this very second that today's date is in the bottom right corner of my computer screen. Jeez. Sometimes I can be such an airhead (but I'm actually smart, just in different ways).

Cold Corona
Nunavut, the largest territory in Canada, is currently COVID-19 free. Yet, it has followed the rest of Canada's pandemic protocols and has gone into shutdown mode. Although there are no confirmed cases of the spreading-like-fire virus, it remains one of the most at risk places. Why? Because Nunavut is an at-risk territory on a normal day.

Loneliness within Quarantine
Ever since this quarantine came into effect it feels like we've been stuck in a dystopian nightmare that is stuck on replay, and if you have ever read The Giver, you know that when things get worse they continue to get worse before they inevitably get better. It kind of feels like we are in the beginning of the end with limited to no knowledge of when we will see "better".

DAY 3: COVID-19 BY MY LONESOME
DAY 3 Much better day today! Yay! Ironically, it's raining and gloomy outside. In fact, it was quite a productive day. After polishing off the leftover pizza for breakfast, I was fast at it on my computer getting things done. Our team even enjoyed a Teams butt-dial from our boss. While we all chatted, a coworker messaged him to apologize for not picking up the group call. To which he said, "didn't know I made the call!" It was nice to hear everyone's voices.

My Days Thanks to COVID-19
So as we all know, COVID-19 is sweeping the globe right now. It's affected a lot of people, doesn't seem to show any sign of stopping, and it seems unknown as to when it'll be a normal time for humanity again. But what does this have to do with me? Well my life, just like everyone else's, has been affected by this pandemic. But all the information about everything is so mixed up. Areas that are on lockdown, how many people you can and can't be around, and tons of other information. It's enough to drive you crazy. Ya know what I mean? It's not hard to believe that the whole world is thrown out of whack by a disease that's likely been around for a long time now, but is just coming out now. I mean there have been other major diseases that have come out that weren't as bad as COVID-19 but still kinda serious enough to be bad should you contract it. But this is the worst it's been. And humanity's behavior to go with it hasn't gotten any better. Still a ton of hate crime, racial blame, etc. This isn't a time to be monsters to each other. This is a time we should come together...even though we're being told to self-quarantine and maintain social distancing too. But there are problems even in that.
