The Scale Doesn't Tell the Whole Story
As a certified personal trainer, I encounter a lot of people who are just beginning their fitness journeys. Before we begin any sort of training, I ask questions about each person's health history, current eating habits, activity level, and goals.

All Natural Food Finds
NatureBox - With the world full of gimmicks, it's nice to find a company that is gimmick free. Plain and simple - $19.95 per month for 5 bags of all natural snacks. You might think... that's $4 per bag, how is that inexpensive? Well, being someone who buys all natural snacks all the time I can tell you that the variety that they give you is NOT what you will find in your local store, and it comes to you with no additional costs (like shipping - it's always free). If you need a bigger box you can get them, and if you want to add on an extra bag or two, you can do that also.

A Message for the Compulsive Daydreamers
I suffered a fairly influential concussion two years ago. I say influential, because I am unaware of the physical severity of it, although I am told that in the emergency room they thought, for at least a moment, that they might need to drill a hole in my skull, to drain the blood. Not exactly indicative of the bruising, but it says something, anyways.

However, it was a Japanese Buddhist priest named Mikao Usui who discovered Reiki in his search for the purpose of life and enlightenment.

My Wake Up Call with T1D
So I'm now moved into my new apartment with my childhood best friend, that I swore never to move in with, how crazy. This is where the story gets motivational, I had stopped taking my medicine almost completely. I felt horrible all the time, but I was making good money at McDonalds. That was starting to get too much as well.

The Time of a Disabled Person Is Not Yours to Waste
Despite the many disabilities there are out there because of this polluted, godforsaken, hell-hole, and wretched planet of a world that sits on the Orion Arm in the Milky Way Galaxy, disabled people’s time is not yours to waste. Sometimes we have bad days. Those of us with chronic illness intimately know that we have bad days and goodness knows that happens. Just sleeping through the night for me is a huge accomplishment. I don’t think I know what that’s like, period. I had symptoms of pediatric schizophrenia since I was a one-year-old.

Diagnosed With Cancer While Pregnant
No one expects cancer to enter their lives in their 30s. But that’s exactly what happened to me and here is my story. My husband Josh and I were married May 21, 2015. Two years after we started dating and eight months after we had our first son Ronin. Two months after we got married, I got off birth control and we were going to try for another baby. Ronin was such a happy baby and we were going to just stop with him, but we knew he needed a sibling. It took us a year but finally, Alakai was conceived in June 2016. I took a blue dye test and as it kept getting darker and darker, I couldn’t believe it. I expected a pregnancy exactly like the one I had with Ronin. But every pregnancy is different and this one ended up being different than most.
