How to Treat a Sprained Ankle
I messed up my right ankle two weeks straight back in January and I was rendered unable to do much except stay home and write, also being forced to drive everywhere instead of burning calories by walking. Twisting an ankle is not the same thing as spraining an ankle. Ankles that are swollen are sprained. I saw my psychiatrist one day to ask her what to do, then I went to urgent care. Repeated or severe sprains can cause joint pain. Ankle sprains come from moving your feet too fast. I imagine it happened when I walked to Target with my cart to get food. I walked home that day, and I think that’s when it might have happened.

How I Overcame Avoiding Certain Meals, to Loving Eating Through a Healthier Lifestyle!
The standard Americanized breakfast usually—the first things that pop into my mind—consists of pancakes and syrup, eggs and bacon, and biscuits and gravy. None of those things ever settled right with my body. I may like the taste of those foods occasionally, but most of the time I cannot stand the thought of buttery, greasy foods like most everybody I know enjoys indulging themselves in first thing in the morning.

Five Ways I've Grown Better in My Old Age
I never thought I would live to be 30, because that was old, over the hill, and finished with living. I never stopped to think about the experience gained in maturity, nor did I believe my thinking would ever change. I was wrong.

Compulsive Eating
You wouldn’t know it to look at me, but I am a compulsive eater. I’m 5’11”, 215 lbs. so I’m a little big for my size, but I don’t fall into the obese category, at least for the medical definition. I work out three to four times a week and mostly eat healthily. That being said, I have my weaknesses, like anyone else.

My Scare With Death
You never know where life will take you or what would happen the next day as the days ahead are never promised. Christmas Eve 2001 started like any normal day, full of joy for the next day and busy getting last minute things done for Christmas. I still had some presents to wrap so I decided to go to my room and wrap the rest and bring them upstairs. I proceeded to go to the basement and walked downstairs, knowing fully that the light was burned out, so I crept carefully down the stairs to my bedroom and went to step down and suddenly felt a sharp pain in my right foot and the gushing feeling of something wet. I hopped to my room, turned on the light, and saw a piece of metal sticking out of my foot. I went and sat on my bed, pulled the piece of metal out, and cleaned my foot like nothing had happened because after all, I wasn't going to the hospital on Christmas Eve.

7 Awesome Things That Happened to Me When I Started Keto
A Brief Explanation of the Ketogenic Diet: The ketogenic diet, often referred to as “Keto,” is an extremely low carb, high fat way of eating meant to specifically throw your body into a metabolic state called Ketosis. When in ketosis, the human body no longer uses sugar and carbs (which turn into sugar), to supply energy. Your body turns to both the fat you consume and the fat stored in your body to create energy. Your body will also use your liver to turn your fat into ketones, which provide you with more energy and aid in fat burning.

Citronella Essential Oil
One of my favorite products is essential oils. I have been using them in various different ways for a few years now, mainly topically and inhaling the scents as aromatherapy. I also diffuse them, add them to beauty products, and dilute them to create a two in one air freshener and organic surface cleaner.
