The Pressures of Sports on the Mind
There are many children that play sports, whether it be rough contact sports like football and hockey or more relaxed like golf and swimming. To the people watching, it just seems like good, competitive fun. To the players, however, it's a bit more than that. At least it is from my personal experience. Playing soccer for over 10 years makes one a veteran with that sport. Anyways, the pressure that a sport can put on a single person's mind is actually quite large.

Tough Mudder Tips!
It may not seem like it here in the UK, what with the below freezing temperatures and thick snow fall, but Spring is upon us and that means Tough Mudder season is nearly here! Last year I was booked by Lucozade as one of their Tough Mudder "Made To Move" coaches. My job was to travel around the country with my team of fitness coaches and we motivated and trained Mudders in the thousands. It was one of the best experiences of my life, but I couldn’t quite get my head around why ANYONE would want to actually take part in the event itself.

The Subconscious Mind Within Dreams
Lately, my dreams have been the most vivid they have been in years. I wake up each morning feeling as if I have just had an entire expedition, adventure, or even tragedy. I can't help but think that the extremes of my dreams correlate to my day by day life.

Moringa, The New Turmeric
Just when you don't think they can't come up with another super food... they do! I was reading an article the other day and a word came up that I had never seen before — moringa. So, of course out of curiosity I looked into it, and I was blown away at the information that I was able to obtain about this little plant! So, I thought that I would take a little bit of time to share with you all the information that I was able to gather.

The Monster Inside of Me
January 5th, 2018, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy weighing eight pounds and six ounces. He was my miracle really, I had problems trying to get pregnant in the past and my partner could never get anyone pregnant. Then there he was, like a blessing from god himself. Having Gabriel in our lives we were unbelievably happy, but it didn’t last long.

Everyone Can Be 'Fit'
Think about all of the different people you see at your local gym. There are the “bros” with every piece of gear that Jim Stoppani convinced them they need. They have a shaker bottle with some vibrantly colored fluid that they sip on between sets as they scan the gym hoping for one girl admiring their “gains.” Over on the treadmills, you might see some college-aged young lady who is doing some weird exercise that looks like something made up by Tonya Harding. Next to her is your typical middle-aged woman, likely a busy mom, grinding out her hour of cardio. On the bench is a middle-aged man half-repping 185 pounds thinking of his glory days as a 20-year-old football star, somehow ignoring his shoulder and back pain. What do all of these people have in common? They all want to be “fit,” but each has a very different definition of what that means.

Being Diagnosed with Cancer at Age 16
My name is Sophia Ruiz. I’m 17 years old, and this September, my world was flipped upside-down. In July, I started having severe pain and muscle spasms in my lower back. I was waitressing at the time and my doctor thought the pain was from over-working myself. A month went by and nothing changed. I was still having back pain all of the time, sometimes it got so bad I couldn’t even move.

The Role of Social Media in Improving Transgender Health Care
Throughout America, transgender patients are struggling due to failures in the health care system. Health care ought to be designed to be inclusive for all types of patients, but most doctors have little or no knowledge of what transgender patients need or how to understand and help them. Access to proper health care can literally be a life or death situation for some. Transgender patients require certain treatments which might include hormone therapy or surgery. These treatments can cost up to tens of thousands of dollars, which most insurance policies refuse to cover. Expenses aside, many doctors don’t have knowledge of or experience with these treatments and often see them as being elective. Patients who live in rural communities, or have no major cities nearby are often out of luck, as most transgender-friendly doctors and clinics are in major cities such as New York or Miami.
