Birth control. A lot of women are on some form of birth control and after having a baby it is heavily pushed on you to get back on it as soon as possible. Of course, your body has just been through hell and who in their right mind would want to get pregnant again right away? If youdo or have, more power to you. But for me, that wasn’t in the cards and still isn’t. I’ve been on birth control before, back when I lived in the States. The name escapes me, but it was a 3-month pill set with a placebo week. I didn’t take it to avoid pregnancy because I was in a long distance relationship, it was because of the crippling migraines I was starting to get every month. //Being 17//
Seventeen is an interesting age. You're not freshly a true teenager, but you're also not a legal adult. You're senior, but you're not in college yet to do fun college things. You are self-righteous and self-loathing. You have an opinion, but no one cares about it besides the people in your tiny tiny bubble. Maybe. Your world is also *this* big, but you think it's T H I S B I G .

Childhood Obesity
Childhood obesity is becoming a national epidemic. In the United States, an average of 1 in every 3 children between the ages of 2-19 are overweight or obese. This puts them at great risk for many serious health issues, like Type II diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, or even heart failure. These are illnesses that children should not develop at such young ages.
